Does the Job

This product was of average quality but did the job of a light duty shelf to hold my husband’s collectible figurines. It’s a bit thick but not in a bad way if that’s the aesthetic you’re looking for. The color and length and price were right for us!

Nice Floating Shelf

This floating shelf was exactly what I needed, with a slight modification. This shelf will work and install easily on any flat surface, with minimal tools required. Just attach the metal bracket on to a flat surface, make sure it's level, and slide the shelf over it. The bracket itself is hidden, and the shelf is floating. I needed this for a soundbar, and installed in a corner of the room.. A simple 1x with ends cut at a 45 degree was all i needed. Attached that piece to the wall, attach the metal bracket to the 1x, and shelf over the bracket, did the trick. This sells for $34.03 (as of this review), and not a bad price for a shelf, made from MDF, with a solid metal bracket, with a nice laminate finish. Anyone can install this with a level and drill, a literally only takes minutes. You can see by my pics, I trusted it to hold my Dali Katch One Soundbar (retail is just under $1,000), and in no way would I use anything I felt would not hold it in place. That soundbar makes great sounding music, but not designed to drop from 7' to the floor, it doesn't bounce. The size is decent, at 32" x 7.64", and strong enough to hold just about anything (as long as the support bracket is installed properly), and has a waterproof finish. No issues here, and works exactly as described.

SO EASY TO INSTALL!

So sleek and easy to install! We love the "no bracket" look. This shelf literally looks like a slab coming out of our board and batten wall. Since we were mounting the shelf relatively high, we mounted it with the set screws facing upwards. Now, you can't see any screws or screw holes from below. Although the shelf is not natural wood, it is just the look and tone we needed to mesh with our rustic decor. The light weight of the laminated shelf makes it easier to mount. It has a natural appearance and will perfectly serve the intended purpose while looking great!

Simple and versatile

Good: -32 inches long and about 1 1/2 inches thick. -Hardware is included. -Great for simple displays. Bad: -I would prefer a solid wood shelf. I ordered the Household Essentials Floating Shelf in Ashwood. I like the size and thickness of the shelf. The modern look of this shelf works for any room. Overall, the shelf is versatile, stylish and low maintenance.

Finish is decent at best. Will on only very light items, and it's a simple design flaw.

I installed this shelf on top of my at home work computer, This shelf could have been a good value shelf, and missed the opportunity due to a small design flaw. The finish is okay. Fake wood laminate. I get that items are relative to their value, yet even for its value it's a low tier laminate. There are white marks on what i assume are "misprints" on the laminate, some "grain" areas are blurry and uneven. However considering everything else, it would have been a decent value, if not for the design that holds the board from sliding off the invisible tubing bracket, it's 4 times the size of the screw that locks it in place working as a pin. The issue is that the board slides slightly. due to the 2 holes being much larger than the screw, and then flexes a bit downwards. This flaw worsens the additional weight you add. Overall the mounting system is clunky and unreliable. I've mounted invisible shelves before and they hold serious weight if the product is designed to, and while i wasn't planning to use this one to hold heavy items, a small camera pack, a coin jar full sized headphones and a medium bluetooth speaker tilted the board downwards, i took everything off and just put some decoration on there. and will put some pictures and extra light stuff there, i wouldn't trust this one with any kind of weight.

Fits into my rustic country home

This Household Essentials Ashwood Floating Shelf fits really well into my rustic country home and works great as a small planter display shelf. The color is on par with the photos and the shelf is pretty level and sturdy once installed. Installation wasn't too difficult, took my OCD husband about 30 minutes from start to finish. Overall, we are pleased with this shelf.
