Exactly what I needed

It is a crappy job, but easier when you have the right parts. My head wasn't evacuating properly, and as a matter of fact was becomming messier and messier. I replaced all the seals and followed the directions, and Voila! the pump works so much better, just like new!

Wrong part that does not work

I bought the part while my boat was in storage. Unfortunately once the boat was launched I realized it was the wrong part. Package has not been opened would like to return or exchange.

Jabsco OEM parts - no bowl seal

Bought this to rebuild the head on our sailboat. The kit does not include the bowl seal and had to purchase it separately. The Jabsco (Xlyem) online videos are very helpful

Replacing the appropriate parts fixed the boat toilet handle leak

2020 Update: Having owned the boat for ~10 years, toilet maintenance has been required multiple times. We used the Jabsco service kits in 2013 and 2016/17 and recently cleaned and lubricated the pump parts (for better flushing) and replaced the joker valve due to back pressure causing leakage from the tank into the bowl. After each maintenance the toilet performs well then slowly degrades. If we used the boat a lot more, we would do this every year rather than waiting several years in between. Annual cost to keep the toilet flushing averages out to under $20, which is worthwhile for a critical boat function! (2013) This is a routine maintenance part for a marine toilet. Some folks replace these parts on 1 or 2 year interval without waiting for leaks to develop. Our boat toilet had a small leak around the pump handle but we think it was 5-6 years old. It comes with more parts than you need for any given toilet but the instructions are very clear. Fixing the leaky pump handle took less than 1 hour for a novice including carefully reading instructions and cleaning the existing parts. It's been 2 months and it's working fine.

Head works as expected now

All went well on the installation, but keep in mind that there are no instructions included with the repair kit. They do include the instructions for the installation of the toilet itself, but not the repair kit. YouTube has a detailed video on how to use the repair kit :-)

Model year matters!

You get a lot of parts for nearly the same price of replacing the whole unit when you only need one part. The most important part to stop back flow leaking is the base valve and not the joker valve that is so popularly talked about! Also, the the life of the base valve can probably be lengthened considerably by manually shutting off the tank at the y valve and leaving the plunger open (unlocked) while storing the boat.

Very Complete Kit

Jabsco marine heads are an industry standard, but tend to require many wear parts to be replaced in their lifetime, especially if in saltwater. This kit covers all of those items, so if you have a problem with your head, but have not taken it apart to find the specific problem, this could should cover any part that is causing your problem. Otherwise, it would be great if they included modern screws, instead of the slot head screws.
