Hole is too big but can be fixed: excellent toy

The hole is so big your dog will either have to have big treats or will have them eaten quickly. What I did was put masking tape over half the hole an its perfect. Great toy!

I like it a lot--my dog LOVES it!

My dog is food motivated. She is a large, 135lb American Mastiff and is 10 years old. People are always surprised because she is so active and "puppy like". In addition to daily exercise, I like to keep her mind active as well. This is her "Go-To" toy that does the trick and seems to never stop giving--treats that is! Break up healthy treats small enough to fit through the holes, but large enough that they all don't come out easily. My dog knows by seeing, smelling and/or hearing when there are treats remaining inside. She doesn't give up. I've seen other reviews that the ball doesn't last long but the abuse that my dog puts this treat toy through, I am quite pleased with its durability. I do buy a couple at a time and they tend to last about 2 months each. Even my Kong Super Strength treat toys last about the same amount of time as well. Other toys last 1-7 days before it either stops squeaking, torn at the seams, etc. I do have some electrical tape holding together the plastic ball on my current one and it has lengthened its life for an additional month and still counting. You'll certainly get many active hours out of this toy, and isn't that the point? I love this toy. Yeah, it can be a little noisy. But that is a small price to pay for my dog's happiness. I mean, how long at any given time does she play with it? Maybe 5 at a time--multiple times through out the day. That's a long time in a doggy's life and it makes her happy. If she's happy, then I am happy! :D It is made from natural rubber and JW Pet Company certifies that it is NON-TOXIC. That is another reason why I buy it. You should consider buying this if you want to keep your dogs mind healthy and active. Also, if you are giving more healthy treats, be sure to make sure that your pooch gets additional exercise to avoid unnecessary weight gain. This combination is a winner. This treat ball is the ONLY TOY that keeps her coming back for more.

Best dog toy I have bought

I can not emphasize how cool this ball is! I ended up buying it after watching a LOT of video reviews on YouTube of different treat balls. I bought it over a year ago and after a year of daily use, it broke and I bought a new one. I've also bought quite a few as gifts. I'm SO HAPPY with this purchase! I use it to feed my dog a light breakfast every morning. You put the food in through a tube in the top (with a round screw top lid), and it falls into an inner tube and ball which are made of hard plastic. The hard plastic is suspended within with a large rubberized ball with holes. The GREAT part of this is that the ruubberized outer ball doesn't make sound as it rolls around on your floor! This was a big deal to me because my whole house has tile floors. You then put it on the floor for the dog. My dog, a Boston terrier, rolls it around on the floor pushing it with her nose or foot, and pieces of food fall out of the holes. This appeals to her rooting and hunting instincts and she loves it. She had mastered using it within 2 uses. Some tips: -Place it on the floor gently. The inner hard plastic ball is breakable, if you just throw it to the floor you will greatly reduce the life of the toy. -The holes that the food falls through in the hard plastic ball are kind of large. Once your dog gets used to the toy, cover half the hole with tape. This makes the food much harder to get out and allows the dog to play longer and work harder for the food. -Don't over fill the inner tube. If you do, when you screw on the lid it will pack the food in too tight for anything to fall out. Look into the tube and make sure you don't have any food go higher than the screw lines. -Don't let other people see how cool it is! They will all try to steal it from you and you will have to buy lots as gifts. ;) :P

It's sort of like team work

I have two Black Labs, one is a year old, the other is two, going on three.. We bought one of these balls for them to play with at christmas, thinking they would share it.. ( They do share most of their toy's..) Well NOT this one.! The younger one figured out how to roll it and get the treats out, The older one, figured out that while He's rolling the ball, she can watch for the treat to fall, and snatch it up.! It's sort of like team work, but more like a government Job..! One does the work, rolling the ball, and the other gets the treats.. I gave it four stars not because they don't like the ball, in fact, they play with it even when it has No Treats in it, but rather I gave it four stars because it's not that durrable..! We gave the ball to our dogs on Christmas Night, and on the 15th of January, we found the outer rubber like material was broken in two different spots..! Now don't get me wrong, if you have a small to medium size dog, and only one dog, it may last you a year or more, which would make this a good investment..! BUT, with two (2) dogs, of a larger breed, playing with it, all day long, ( off and on ), it just isn't going to last.!! But still, the dogs love it, it keeps them busy for hours, and when this one is no longer useable, I will buy them another one..! So yes, I do think it's a good product, and well worth the cost..!

Too easy

My puppy found this easy at only 9weeks old so had to make hole smaller using tape he broke it and got sent a replacement t and he managed to break it again I say too flimsy

My collie loves this

My dog loves this. But the dispensing hole is rather large so I had to make it smaller for my treats so as to make it more challenging for my 6 month old border collie. She loves playing with it.

My dogs favourite interactive toy

This is my second one. Only toy to have kept my Shih Tzu’s attention for more than a year. He rolls it around all over the house to get his kibble. I feed most of his kibble this way and sometimes toss in a few treats. Since the kibbles are small, I put a piece of tape on the exit hole so they don’t all come out too quickly. NOTE: Do not throw this ball, it is only meant to be rolled. A friend came over and thought it was a ball toy, she picked it up and threw it across the room for my pup to chase and the whole inner portion cracked open. I was able to tape it back to together that it still functions, but I ordered a second one to replace it. Please don’t stop making this. My pup does not like the giggle balls or other treat dispensers.
