Labeling Flaws

I like this clean simple spice rack with spices and herbs. All of the spices, herbs and minerals jars are filled and sealed for freshness. This is a nice starter set which can sit on the counter or be placed on a rack in a cabinet. It is an interesting choice of spices and herbs that are included...basil, bay leaves, celery salt, chives, coriander, fennel seed, Italian seasoning, marjoram, oregano, parsley, pizza seasoning, savory seasoning, sea salt, seasoning salt, and crushed mint The jars are labeled with the spice name on the front of the jar but when stacked in the rack you cannot see the name. I organize my spices and herbs in alphabetical order to cut down on time searching for the desired spice or herb. The jar has a clear sticky label that wraps around the jar . Most of the jars I received have air bubbles under the label which, with age and oxidation, will result in discoloration of the labels. This spice set is a nice start but will not hold up for the long haul.

Fit perfectly on top of my microwave

I have a very tiny kitchen and anything I can do to save space is a must. This spice rack worked out perfectly and as bonus it has a great selection of spices to go with it. It fits perfectly on top of my microwave and allows me to have everything within arms length. The rack is nice and heavy, well built and sturdy. A+ in my book

All the basics!

The media could not be loaded. Okay I admit I did not fully read the information! But the surprise of filled spice jars was great! These are perfect for the start home purchase. They are ideal size and perfect for small spaces. They even have a registry for refills! The rack is solid, so you won’t have the issues of bending metal with use. The jars are glass with sticker labels already on, so if there is a seasoning you never use, you can always remove the label.

Sturdy rack, but ...

This is a sturdy little spice rack that could work for a variety of things. Comes with a variety of spices that you may or may not use. Mine came with two bottles of fennel seed and no bay leaves (as the package listed) -- a minor packing error. The jars are glass with the name of the contents on the bottle in white lettering -- which makes it unreadable when the contents are white. Also, the writing is midway on the bottle, so you can't see the name of the contents on the two upper rows unless you add your own labels. Not sure why the description says it's black -- the jar lids are black, but the rack itself is silver. Could be a nice gift for someone setting up a first-time kitchen.

pretty rack of useless spices.

BEING a bit on the short side i was hoping to be able to see my spices. I can never see my spices in the cabinet. So i was excited to be able to organize my spices in frequently used to less often used. but my excitement faded real fast. after I set it up and unboxed the spices i realized they were not commonly used or very over lapping! pizza, basil ,oregano, Italian and savory ( what is that). sea salt, celery salt seasoning salt and garlic salt. i rather blend my own than have a premixed version. when i thought to use one i was on a treasure hunt. i had to lift every jar because the all looked alike from my view. if the lids had the name on them it would have been better ( I wrote with chalk pen so you can see what i mean. If your a beginner cook it is a rack with pretty jars but not practical spices. if your a seasoned cook don't waist your time.
