Coworker steals them! Lol
I work at a pet boarding & daycare facility in West Michigan - lots of time spent outside in the snow and ice. Lowest temps this year have been around 0° windchill, far above the minimum temp rating for these! I normally wear a US Womens 10/11 - I ordered a US Mens 9 which is usually a good size conversion for me. These fit, but somewhat awkwardly. They feel very bulky on my feet compared to other rubber boots I’ve had, I think this is mostly due to a somewhat larger toe box, which can accommodate for thicker socks plus the warm liner. My main issue is with how tight the top is around my calves. Granted, I’m a little bit of a larger build, but nothing crazy. I definitely understand wanting a snug fit to keep in warmth and keep out water, but I assumed that there would be somewhat of a larger gap which is where the drawstring comes into use. I may just cut that top piece fabric piece and drawstring off since I won’t be in super extreme conditions. As far as warmth & dryness, these things are ELITE ! The first day I wore them it was around 20° and I took them off because they were making my feet SO HOT they were steaming when I pulled them off lolol I naturally run more hot, so my coworker who wears the same size as me immediately tried them on and started RAVING about them - she steals them any chance she gets and loves them! I’ve worn them at about 10-15° standing in the snow with just my regular ass Hanes ankle socks on and my feet stayed toasty and dry the whole time. They are VERY slippery when wet on polished “commercial” type flooring, which is what it is. I might try scoring the bottom to see if that helps more.

Lightweight but warm
My husband LOVES these boots. We grabbed this pair for a terrific sale price so he would have an extra pair waiting for him. We live in Minnesota where it gets cold and these are so warm that he wears them in the coldest of winter days and without socks. We own a hobby farm so his boots get a lot of use while he's out doing chores and just working with the horses and our German Shepherds. He can't recommend these boots enough and hopes the company never changes them nor discontinues them. The liners tend to wear out first-never the actual boot and it was cheaper to buy new boots at the sale price than buy new liners. These are warm, lightweight and just great boots to have.

"You’re hard-pressed to find a boot at this price point that will satisfy its purpose better."
After having owned these boots for a few weeks now, my one-line review is as follows: Insulated and steel-toe for significantly under $100. I’m convinced you’d be hard-pressed to find a boot at this price point that will satisfy its purpose better. Now, I’m going to try and hit several different points brought up in other reviews, so here we go… 1) Steel toe. Kamik’s website suggests that these may or may not be composite safety toe. Well, they’re definitely steel toe. My pair came with a tag that specifically stated it. 2) Calf-high boots. I’m just now noticing the Amazon site description says “knee-high”. You can tell simply from the product pictures they’re not. They cover most of my thigh. 3) Size. They definitely run large. The vast majority of the time I wear a size 10.5: Vans sneakers, Timberland Pro work boots, etc. Per the recommendation of and thanks to the review from “Mr,” I ordered a size 10. I’ve got plenty of room lengthwise! As far as width goes, they fit firmly. Not tight, just firm. My feet are probably slightly wider than average, so if you have extra wide feet, maybe try and take advantage of a “try before you buy” option so you’re not disappointed if you have to send them back. 4) Insulation. Kamik’s website also states these are -40 degree weather boots. Haha! However, I never really believe statements like that when I see them, so my expectations were nowhere close to that. I bought these boots for the purpose of keeping my feet dry during cold weather conditions at work. Typically I’m in and out of a heated office or nice warm truck, and rarely outside for even an hour straight – at least when cold weather is concerned. If you’re like me and you have the luxury of being in and out all day long at work, I think you’ll be happy with these boots. The past few days here in northeast Ohio the high temps have been in the lower 20s with “feels like” temperatures around 6-degrees Fahrenheit and my feet have stayed pretty happy. However, I’ve had several stints since owning these boots of being outside for 3-4 hours straight with temps in the mid to upper 30s while walking around in standing water, muck, and slush and my feet have had no complaints! All that being said, if you are outside all day, every day in below freezing temps, I think you’ll be much better off forking out an extra $100-$150 for a really nice pair of winterized, rubber work boots. 5) Sole. There’s one heck of a support rod in the sole and thus very little flex. They’re a little cumbersome. If you’re used to walking around in snowboard or ski boots, you’ll feel right at home. They take a bit of getting used to, but they’re very comfortable otherwise so that helps (more on that next). Driving a manual car is another adventure entirely! However, if you’re a commercial driver reading this don’t you fret, you’ll be just fine! 6) Comfort. My first two days wearing these boots I was on my feet for 3-4 hours straight…which I rarely, if ever, do at my job. I’ve spent less time than that in my Timberland Pros – which I swear by – and had my feet been screaming at me. That being said, I was shockingly comfortable those first two days in these boots! To this day, I am very impressed with their level of comfort. I hope this helps your decision making!

Comfortable fit, well made
I bought these to replace a worn out pair of winter boots. These fir me better, afford more insulation for warmth and are higher for walking through deeper snow.

Not great for hunting
Great outdoor boot for the spring/mud season. Wouldn’t recommend for hunting or sitting in a blind during the cold months

These are pretty good for the price. Not for extreme cold.
- I have used these all fall and winter in Minnesota (ice fishing, hunting, casual use) - They work great for medium cold conditions and casual use. - However, in very cold conditions, my feet can freeze in them. - They are pretty lightweight and comfortable.

They do a decent job.
I found the insoles uncomfortable so I put in aftermarket insoles and now they're wearable. They aren't as warm as my old boots that were worn out but they do a pretty good job.

Great all-round boot
Kamik Men’s Icebreaker Boots Men’s Size 9. Very impressed with these boots after 2 years of reasonably heavy use. They have and continue to perform very well for my use. Purchased here in November 2017. Original purpose was for moose hunting in heavy swamp areas. Other boots like Muck failed in this environment after one week due to punctures and abrasions. The Icebreakers have not let me down in 2 seasons of moose and deer hunting. I have found them very comfortable and have walked the logging trails in them. Even a few 18km+ days (12 miles). I was surprised this type of boot would be this comfortable over this distance. I decided to try them for my snowshoe boot. While maybe a bit heavy for the application the comfort was good. Several snowshoe trips and they are holding up well. There is even a small lip on the heal to keep the snowshoe straps from slipping off. The straps haven’t abraded the rubber yet either. Note that not all Kamik rubber boots are created equal. I have a pair of Kamik Hunter model that are very similar. After only a couple of snowshoe trips the straps seem to have caused the rubber to split. For icy conditions pull over “Stabil-Icers” work very well. It has been a wet and slushy winter this year and for hiking the trails with my dog I’ve been bouncing between getting wet in trail runners, using trail runners with NEOS over shoes, and traditional leather hiking boots. I keep coming back to these Icebreakers. Not the type of boot you see much on the trails. They are 100% water proof. I do sweat in them but the moisture remains in the liner , and they are easily removed to dry out. I wear a liner sock with a wool over socks and they are plenty warm while moving . For very cold weather and just sitting , I use foot or hand warmers. Ive recently added a wool felt insole for added warmth and moisture wicking. Hopefully they will last for another season or two. And I will definitely purchase another pair.

LOVE THESE BOOTS
So easy to slip on and off. I live where temps get to as low as -40 C and these are still so warm. Boots is nice and flexible so it's easy to walk in.

Great winter wellies
Great boots. I spent 3 weeks living in Zanskar including a return trip via the Chadar ice highway.. the tread is not as deep as the Viking Boots but I liked having the removable felt inner, which could be dried easily after a sweaty day.

Dry, tough and warm
Used for walking dogs and outdoor work in Canadian winter. Already tested from -20c to +3c in deep snow, rain and slush. Made in Canada product. Very satisfied.
