Nice ergonomic grip

I bought this to replace a metal slotted spoon that was scratching/dinging my stainless steel pots. It has an ergonomic handle that I really appreciate - a thick cylindrical barrel with a curve that accommodates the pointer finger while you're holding it. Very comfortable. It also cleans easily.

Sturdy, sturdy slotted spoon!

When you need a slotted spoon, and you need it very soon, but you don't have all the time, to drive far as the moon. Of course it must be strong, minus holes it would be wrong, so you want the order right, the best product to last long. Now order Kitchen Aid Gourmet, You'll have it quickly in a day, As Amazon speeds it on its way.

Decent... but I find it to be a bit clumsy.

I was looking for a replacement to our worn out, slotted kitchen spoon.... and after reading the reviews I thought this was going to be a great replacement. A bit disappointed... nothing really wrong with it, just that it feels quite awkward to use. We've had it for a couple of months and just seem to NOT be the spoon that I want to reach for. It seems sturdy enough... but just not a good 'fit'.

Nice Product

I was actually looking for a large spoon with a flat end to replace an old one I had, but couldn't find it. I figured this would suffice. It works very well, with slots that aren't too wide which enables me to even strain rice. Very sturdy - good value!

Replacement unit

This has been great. I cook a lot at home. I really enjoy it. This spoon has been so much better then the one that I had before. This one is much better built.

A design flaw, but it's correctable

The three slots in the bowl of the spoon are inadequate. A poached egg will obstruct the slots and the spoon will not drain. Instead of returning it, I drilled 25 holes around the slots and lightly countersunk each hole to remove any rough edges. Now it is an excellent slotted/perforated spoon that won't damage nonstick pans. I would give my modified spoon 5 stars. So, I would recommend this spoon only to those who have a drill press and would enjoy making this dud into a winner.

it's fine
