It's ok
It's OK, but don't forget to purchase a roll of duct tape ! The tape is needed to hold the thing together in rain, snow , slight breezes, ect.ect.

Cheap China plastic
The quality is incredibly poor. They fit together but that's about it. The poles will bend substantially with a slight bit of side loading.

Buy something better.
Cheap ass plastic breaks under 2 inches of snow or more. Might work if I had 10 of them.

Prefect for small kayak or small boat
I purchased (2) sets and used this to prop up my kayak cover(s) on two separate kayaks. I used (2) sections on one kayak and (3) on the other of the 6 provided in each kit. I can see why other users would say that it may be weak, If used on a larger boat with all (6) sections It doesn’t seem to have strength to be used as a primary support. I used 2-3 sections per kayak and it worked perfect. There are 3 slots for straps if you plan to use straps (not included). I Used it with a “best” xl kayak cover on two 11.5’ kayaks with completely different profiles.

Boat Cover Support Poles
Great value for the money. The poles come in sections so you can make them as high as you need. If you use all of the sections the pole tends to want to bend and buckle when under load. To make this a really great support pole, cut some pvc pipe with a large enough diameter to go over the pole sections. Cut the pcv pipe long enough to go from the bottom of the pole up to the top support cap. In this way the pole cannot come apart or bend under load. Four poles with the extra pvc pipe works great on my 20 ft pontoon boat for winter storage. You will want to tie the poles from four directions to keep them in place, but don't buy the straps that they offer with the poles as 1/4 diameter nylon rope works much better and fits through the slots on the top cap of the pole.

OK, but not great
I just put this in the transom of my small fishing boat to keep the cover from sagging and filling up my boat in the winter season. I already had a telescoping metal one that I use mid-ship. I think this one will work for me, but I sure wouldn't buy another one. The picture is pretty accurate and I don't feel misled in any way, but it's not a very high quality or stable construction. It's plastic tubes that are about 8" or so and you stack them together to get the desired height for your needs. Unfortunately, much about about two sections, it becomes fairly unstable. It would be OK if you put straps (not included) through the slots in the top of the mushroom. My recommendation would be to keep looking and find a better quality one unless you are keeping it very short.

Holds the cover up...but breaks apart over sustained pressure
This support pole is good enough for a quick prop up of the boat cover. For me, I have a basic 14' aluminum tin can, so this pole was used to prop up the cover or else the water from the rain would accumulate on my cover and it would just sag into the boat and eventually rip the cover. My thought is that this pole would prop up the cover so the water would slide off instead of pooling up. The pole does that job. The cover would tent up and would work for a while, but the cover eventually stretched, so it would start pooling again. Over the summer, I would have the boat covered whenever it is just parked there, so this pole (actually I bought two) would prop up the cover and I would tighten the cover whenever I checked up on it. Basically, there was always tension on this pole because I would tighten up the cover whenever it started sagging. After a few months of this...the two poles finally snapped from this pressure. So...the pole is good for the task if you just need it now and then...but a permanent solution would be required because the plastic would break under sustained pressure.

Great items
Excellent items the only fault is that they are too light so kept falling over when pulling cover on so had to make a good base out of wood to screw them onto, but I would certainly buy again

Not worth time or money
I purchased these to hold up a quite expensive boat cover for my pontoon boat - we secured through the top holes well across to the railing of the pontoons as even under pressure from the cover they kept falling apart and falling over leaving the cover to sag and fill up with water, ice and snow - eventually sometime during the winter the entire stand came apart indicating that the sections don't fit together well and with the genius design of a spike in the bottom section I ended up with a hole through the my cover - the product is weak and flimsy - don't do what I did and not build or purchase the proper frame for your cover - you will potentially end up with a hole in a 700 dollar boat cover

Works very well and very adaptable. Recommended.
This works well. It is plastic so be a little careful, but it's sturdy enough. Very adjustable and you can even cut the sections down, as I did, to make it a perfect fit. Perfect.

Glad I purchased it, no more water on the cover.
Does the job, comes apart for easy storage. The whole unit is a bit wiggly and will come apart easily until you get it in the right place but works well. Good base on it.
