Easy cleaning

I wanted a toilet seat with quick release because I remove the seat regularly for cleaning. This seat is perfect for that purpose and fits the toilet well. The seat I replaced fully covered the entire toilet bowl. This one shows a bit of the bowl around the edges (less than 1/4 inch) when the seat when closed, if that is important to you. I am using this on a Kohler toilet that looks exactly like the one on the Amazon website for this seat. It does not shift when sitting on it. Both the seat and the cover are soft close. I mention this because I have another Kohler seat where only the cover is soft close, which seems like either a design flaw or it’s simply broken.

Wrong color

Always have the part number with the correct color code. On the website, the color of this seat looks exactly like the color I wanted and exactly like the seat I ended up with, but in person, it was complete different. Nothing wrong with the seat, just know that the color on the Amazon site may not be representative. Having said that, since I did not even need to open the box to see that it was the wrong color, the return was easy.

Prompt delivery, excellent quality, easy to install

Even though the spec sheet for the toilet we purchased shows this part number for the lid/seat, it is a bit different than the original. I like this one so much more, the lid will be easier to clean. (no bumpers).

Is what it is

I didn’t research much except I have a kohler toilet round and figured one size fits all. I just needed this color. And a round one. But too small ,the opening is visibly smaller. Not going to return because its technically used now. But now it’s only temporary until I find another that fits better. Also not a fan of the quick disconnect why is this needed ?? To clean ? If you make that much of a mess maybe your potty habits are not up to par. I never knew such and option existed . Unless you get your head stuck in it a quick disconnect does not seem safe. I’d rather have it bolted fast. One drunken sit down and will be all over. ……I’ll keep looking for the right regular fit in this color in the future

it wobbles

The screws it came with- are constantly having to be readjusted- and it is not in use that much. A real pain. I guess I need new screws- but I think it would be same problem. Disappointed since Kohler is usually great?

doesn't fit my toilet... but easy to fix!

so I have a round Kohler toilet. Just bought the round slow close Kohler toilet seat .... only problem the new seat isn't actually round. its slightly too narrow by about 1/2" on either side, so the seat doesn't fit all the way to the edge of the toilet. If you have this same problem, and also have a Kohler toilet (and hopeful are replacing a Kohler toilet seat) its super easy to fix. all Kohler seats have the same manufactured fitting/openings that connect the seat and the lid, the only difference is the internal hinge parts, which you can swap out with your old non slow close hinge parts. To do this, remove your old toilet seat, flip it over and pop off the long rectangular hinge cover (a flat head screw driver works well, once the cover is off you will see the two cylinder hinges inside. depending on your model they might have tiny caps cover on them which you will need to pop off. once the caps are removed use a needle nose pliers to gently pull one of the cylinders out. once clear of the seat/lid connection, pull on the other cylinder out, if it sticks unfold the seat/lid and lightly wiggle back and forth until it come apart. once apart do the same thing to the new slow close seat. then put the new hinges in the old seat (do the same steps above in reverse) then attach the old seat with the new hinges to you toilet and like magic you will have a perfectly fitting seat with slow close hinges! hope this helps.

Great Seat

A little pricey??? Maybe?? But great quality purchased a “ round “ seat ???? Lid matches bowl ???? profile exactly….. the seat however leaves a bit of a reveal around the bowl ie: looks a bit too small - but in the end it’s perfectly comfortable and functional. Love the soft close a LOT !!! Great seat !!!!

Great seat

My first time buying a slow close seat and I am pleased with it. It was extremely easy to install and the fact that the whole unit can be slid off the bowl makes cleaning a breeze. Comfortable to sit on and a nice feature is that the seat fits inside to lid when in the down position so that it is mostly hidden.

This was just what I was looking for

I wanted to be able to sit down on the lid to cut my toenails and put cream on my feet but the old one was too flimsy. I was in a hotel in Tofino last fall and they had this design (self closing lid with a lip around the outside) that was perfect. I searched for a similar design and I found this one. It looks good and it is functional even when sitting on top of it. It took a bit of time to install it properly because we had to adjust the black inserts to make it fit (as mentioned in other reviews). But once done, it fit very well.
