Excellent camo, highly flawed fit.

The Camo is superlative. The cut is not so great. In Underarmor, I normally get 2x and they fit as I like my hoodies to fit. On this the shoulders do not fit right at all and the cut is sort of goofy looking (they should definitely opt for a shoulderless cut on the hoodies.). Despite the *apparently* massively oversized shoulders, if I lift my arms above my head, it still pulls up to just below my belly button. I hate, hate, hate that. Now, I work for a living (hence the back and shoulders) and am not fat, but I’m older, still drink beer, and am not as toned as I was in my 20s and early 30s. I don’t like to show that. It does happen when I lift my arms. Despite it being a 2x, when I should have a fitted fit in L or XL. The materials and quality are otherwise pretty good, though I think I still favor UA. 5 for camo, 5 for comfort and warmth, 3.5-4 for materials, 2 for cut and fit.

Essential piece of gear in your layering lineup

Kryptek truly stands up to their “Battlefield to backcountry” motto. After spending time in both, their layering system does everything my USMC issued gear did, AND all of the things I wished it would have. This hoodie breathes well and is comfortable in warm spring afternoons, and still provides enough heat to be my only outer layer in anything above 20°. It is lightweight and very thin for the level of comfort it provides, and works perfectly under the Kryptek Koldo jacket. It may be a bit on the large side, which I don’t mind, as is allows more freedom of movement as an under layer, avoiding that “constricted” feeling you can get with a layering system that is too form fitting. I bought a large (I am 6’3, 250lbs, with broad shoulders, long arms, and a bit of a beer belly) and the fit is perfect! To include long enough sleeves which I never seem to be able to find. Since I got mine, several of my friends have got this hoodie as well, and all not only have the same good things to say, but recommend it to their friends as well. The Camo pattern is a little darker than the exterior layers, but this is excellent as it provides a 3D shadowing affect if you leave your jacket open for any reason, and the color holds up amazingly well after being machine washed several times! I bought this for hunting... but wind up wearing it every day. So my advice is to buy two!

Ordered the Obskura Transitional, received the Highlander. It is a very comfortable hoodie, and a very effective camouflage for archery hunting.

It is good quality and interesting thing! But sizing is not true! When i was ordering size M i thought that it could been tight for me! But it is to big! It has appearance rather like size L or even bigger! My measurements: chest volume 42,9 inches, waist 37,4 inches, height 5' 10, weight 179 lbs! I've ordered color pattern Hailender\tan, size M

I bought this for my sons birthday. He really likes it. Nice fit and a good weight for early morning soccer games and hunting. Very pleased.

Nice, comfortable hoodie

I bought one for each member of my household family. We love Kryptek patterns. The hoodies are light weight and comfortable. Not very thick as they are made for layering. We will take them out hunting next month and I will update my review then.

Terrible quality material and build

Massive disappointment, I like their camo patterns, but this is a glossy fabric, so it offers no camo property, it feels like wearing plastic. I will give this to a charity shop and avoid this awful brand forever.

Very thin, almost cheap material. Expensive for what it is.

I thought for the $180 CAD price I would be getting a heavy fabric hoodie. This is anything but, extremely light material, I would expect it to tear very easily if it caught a nail or something. Beautiful design, but definitely not worth the price tag. Disappointed in terms of the thickness of the material, feels cheap.

Kryptek Tartaros Hoodie - Medium

Very nice quality, it is thin, but very comfortable. Does run a little small. I'm 5'7" 31" waist. Medium fits perfect.
