KT Pro worked better for me than KT Original Cotton

I tried both KT Original Cotton and KT Pro tapes for a problem with both of my knees (likely meniscus tears at different stages of healing). I was tired of the uncomfortable brace and compression sleeve that I'd been using. One knee was almost healed, while the other was strong enough that I could make the switch to tape. I opted for the uncut roll because I didn't want to be locked into 10" strips, which seemed too long for use on my knee. That turned out to be a good decision; I always ended up using less than 10" because of the tape's stretch. I used the KT tape under work clothes, not for exercise. The Original Cotton was good for one day of wear, even if I skipped a shower on a weekend. The edges of the tape would roll up under my jeans. Aside from the edges, the adhesion was okay. I found the KT Pro to be much better for me. Adhesion was great -- it would last 2 - 3 days. After a shower I would use a blow drier to partially dry the tape and then let it air dry while I finished getting ready for work. On my "better" knee, the tape made it feel as if there was no problem at all. It was wonderful to be walking around at work and realizing there was no pain in the one knee. Ultimately, I'm back on the knee brace I hate because it's going to take a few weeks longer for the other knee to heal. I could keep using the tape, but it would end up being the cost of several knee braces by the time I'm fully healed. If you want to try the KT tape, I suggest the KT Pro is worth the few extra dollars because it'll last longer.

Very effective and easy to work with

Used for my grandson who really likes this product . It is easy to apply and use, He prefers the 10" strips to the longer strips as the tape can be quickly applied and removed or replaced when necessary. These strips are a great value.

Helped with my subluxed shoulder but....

I ordered this to help with my joint hypermobility syndrome. I used it one day for a subluxed shoulder. After watching a Youtube vid on how to properly use the KT tape on a injured shoulder, I heard/ felt my shoulder move back into place. The pain also subsided. Only disappointment is the adhesion lasted for 1 day.

Brand name is best

I've saved money with cheaper tapes but also nearly removed a layer of skin when pulling them off (using oil as I do it) No irritation with the KT brand.

This is the good stuff!

This stuff stays on pretty well…I like to keep it on for 2 days at a time. Lasts through sweating and showering. Tends to come off while sleeping.

Bought this tape to use during my pregnancy to assist with the front heavy weight of my 9lb 9oz baby! I used a tutorial from Diary of a Fit Mommy to tape in different ways to support belly depending on shape of belly. Found it very supportive and helped during long work days in a hot summer! Although it hurts when I removed the tape due to belly hair (blonde but lots!) I Would definitely recommend!

Good quality fabric and adhesion

I have bought many different brands but I will admit that paying that bit more is worth it. The stretch on the fabric is very good and it doesn’t thin out, meaning it works better. Other brands on only 30% stretch show plenty of gaps in the weave meaning it isn’t strong or rigid enough to do it’s job properly and it will also compromise the glue, making adhesion poor

Good product, wish it was more affordable

Good product, wish it was more affordable. Tends to roll/peel off fairly easily, but doesn't leave much residue which is a plus.
