Massive leak at female chrome connector at leader hose-non repairable

This reel was to be used in my front yard. Assembly was not difficult, but time consuming The tires must be inflated before installing, and must use a hand pump because of nylon tubes. It is sturdy,painted, rolls well. One major flaw was design of one piece outgoing water flow connection, a chromed brass connection to the male connection end of the leader hose. Mine poured water out of the back side of the chrome female nut. I tried double washers, silicone and a "o" ring washer. The manual says in bold print, "note do not overtighten it". I then put in a short 4" hose connecter to see if problem was length of male threads, still leaked. To replace the entire one piece assembly, the entire unit would have to be disassembled. While attempting to remove the last "o" ring washer, the female nut came off with an allen head retaining cap plug. I attempted to re install the retaining cap seal with its thin washer, I could not start the threads thinking they were stripped? I then wrote a second letter to the seller, and received a second request for more pictures. I slept on this for several nights frustrated as to not to fix it. As a long time builder of hot rods, I was always able to fix leaks. Eureka, I woke up at 6AM, thinking the allen threads might be left hand threads. Sure enough they were! I put it back in with an allen wrench, it still leaked. The seller never responded to my 3rd and 4th letters. I disassembled it, taking about two hours not to scratch anything. I asked the seller to replace it, and a possible cost reduction to keep the old one for parts. No reply in 4 days, I lost over 5 hours in labor and frustration. I had to rebox it and take to a usps store. The design flaw is the left hand retaining nut, used with a right hand leader hose nut. When the female nut is tightened, the left threaded allen nut is loosened. Apparently mine forced the pulling of threads.

THIS CART HAS STURDY BUILD. HOW IT STANDS UP TO WEATHER WILL BE YET DETERMINED. AS FAR ASSEMBLING. THE PRINT ON THE INSTRUCTION COULD BE LARGER. IF OLDER, HAVE A MAGNIFYING GLASS HANDY. I ALWAYS FIND IT GOOD TO LAY OUT ALL PARTS, BOLTS, WASHERS, NUTS AND MAKE SURE THEN ALL ARE THERE. THEN I COMPARE THEM WITH THE LABELING AND MARK THEM. THERE ARE 3 SIZES OF SCREWS, WASHERS, AND NUTS. ALSO THERE IS SPRING WASHERS AND FLAT WASHERS. AGAIN THE PRINT IS SMALL. ALSO, INFLATE THE TIRES BEFORE YOU PLACE THEM ON THE AXLES CAUSE THERE IS NO WAY ONE WILL BE ABLE TO FILL THEM UP ONCE ATTACHED. FOR THE PRICE IT WILL BE BETTER THAN THE THREE PLASTIC REELS THAT NEVER WORKED.

Great for heavier hoses to

This hose reel is a beast. I have a huge heavy weight holes that is extremely cumbersome. But I absolutely love it because it is so durable and works fantastically for use with my power washer. I don’t keep it stored outside—I have a smaller lighter weight hose for easier jobs. but I really needed someway to store this so that it was easy to get in and out of the shed as well as being available for use without being tangled. This rolling hose reel is fantastic because I can do all of that. It’s is heavy duty enough with its very thick wheels and metal components, that it handles my heavyweight hose without any issues. The push handle is fantastic and makes it painless to take this from one place to another. I really appreciate the basket. It’s perfect for holding attachments for the hose and the power washer. When I’m ready to store this for the winter I can detach the crank handle and store it in the basket as well as the hose attachment.

Poor directions, inflatable tires nearly impossible to inflate.

The directions are poor. They refer to wrench sizes, but are actually talking about the diameter of the bold, not the size of wrench you need for the nut part. The tires are supposed to be inflatable, but they simply can't be inflated. The stem retreats into the tire and you can't get air in. I had to by a schraeder to presta adapter and use a positive locking presta pump to finally get air in the *&% things. Stupid. I have another nearly identical unit that has solid wheels. That's the way to go, why they went this route is beyond me. Simply stupid. The diagrams are hard to make out and the assembly is much harder than it needs to be, simply because of the poor directions.

They suggest you paint it ????

Calls for the tires to be inflated with a hand pump, not air compressor. Arrived almost flat. Suggestions that you paint clear coat frame . If it needed that they should have done it. Brand new and they suggest you paint it

Garden Hose Holder

This is a great garden hose holder/ cart. I have a 150 ft garden hose and they are very heavy and bulky. I hook my hose to this cart and it works perfect. It also saves me a lot of hassles and spaces. One great thing about this product is it’s movable and very easy to carry from one part of garden to another. Great product ! It took me 30 minutes to put the whole cart together by myself. Manual is very clear and straight forward. It came with all necessary tools for assembly, however you might a stronger wrench to make everything more tight.
