If you're sick of hair falling in your face, this is the way to go.

Smells great, lasts a long time, stylish packaging...what's not to like? I have fine hair that I wear short with some extra length on top. Most other stuff I've used tends to leave me with stiff hair or a mop on my forehead that tickles constantly. Not this. Put some in, get some layering, leave in for a bit, stop worrying for the rest of the day. Tried a bunch of stuff on here, and this is the only one I've found that hands-down beats Crew Fiber, Man Made 1821 and SuaVecito.

Fabulous product!

I have fine, thin hair and nothing would give me a nice style or thicken my hair. I tried expensive and cheap brands, all failed. I tried Layrite on a whim, for the price I could just throw it and move on to the next product. Wow! This is exactly what I was looking for. It is a thick putty and you use it like it states on the label. I started with wet, freshly washed hair and just rubbed a small amount between my hands and worked it in. Then, I blew dry it and it was much thicker hair. While it was still a bit damp I put some rollers in until dry. Took out rollers and voila, my hair held up, was thicker, and the style didn't collapse. I then used another small amount to work thru my dry hair and finished the style. Thickness held up for a couple of days until next time I washed my hair. Very pleased with this product. Should be NUMBER 1 on their rankings!

Husband is a Hottie

My husband had a buzzed head for YEARS and finally let his hair grow out. He uses this daily to style his hair and he really loves it. We're on our third one. We tried others kinds but they were too greasy or didn't last all day. This one lasts all day and his hair looks so good.

Recently changed formula

I found this to be the best stuff for a firm, all day hold, while allowing ease of washing out. However, the recent change to formula causes the product to clump horribly in the hand before applying. It is a nightmare to clean up and no longer holds a form in the hair. I order these 2 at a time and both have the issue. I wish I could return both of them.

Strong hold and being able to reshape after a while

This product has a good and strong hold. The smell isn't too terribly strong. It's quite simple to simply wash off using hair shampoo; however, I found that I have to wash my hands twice to get it clean. After the first wash, it's still feel slippery. One thing I wish I could do is able to reshape and still hold my hairs after 4-6 hours.

Pure lies!!!

High hold, water based, matte finish? Nope. It needs hairspray to hold, it’s very shiny due to the high wax content and doesn’t wash out easily in the slightest. BUT ABOVE ALL, CEMENT CLAY CONTAINS NO CLAY!! It’s basically I’m guessing a beeswax paste. It give the same effect as hair gel, cannot support it’s own weight, is glossy due to the high wax content and although it appears to wash out easily, it leaves your hair varnished in wax, as proven by an aggressive clarifying shampoo. Literally not one claim is true! You probably wouldn’t notice if you have any variant of a slick back hairstyle, but for a short textured crop, which a clay is perfect for, it shows up instantly. Absolute junk and in basically turning your hair into a waxed jacket, it would be having a seriously detrimental effect over time to your hair. The build up this junk must cause when used over time must be horrendous! Scalp acne anyone?! RETURNED

Good semi-holding stuff for hair up to 3 inches long

Can be applied to slightly damp hair, which is a bonus. Allows a good degree of hold over the day, but not stiff, so hair can be reworked without it after wind or rain to some degree. Not completely washable as claimed, but no big build-up over time and problems with waxy pillow covers as some stuff does. The smell is a bit sickly at the start (vanilla), but I'm now on my second tub, so I guess I'm used to it. It's decent, especially for the price, which lasted me about 2 months.

Thick Hair Natural Slicked Back Men Look No Further

I have been looking for no shine, water based, reasonably priced matt pomade/clay/ ish stuff. This Layrite Cement Clay matches all my requirements. The scene is like coconut. Very natural volume on top and no shine at all. I would recommend it for thick hair to your collection

Best short hair product

Literally the best product i have ever used in my short hair!! Definitely recommend! It's worth the money and doesn't leave your hair greasy or looking wet
