Runs super small, but excellent bra- update after a summer of use

Original review is below. Update after a summer of wearing this bra- it's okay, but to be honest I dread the days I have to wear it. Maybe in the winter it will be okay, but the problem is that due to the extra unecessary padding on the outsides of the cups, it pushes my already large breasts together in such a way as to create an awful pocket of sweat in the heat. If I could figure out how to make the side pillows vanish, this would be the perfect bra. Oh- the bra in halter mode is also uncomfortable. I just feel like it cuts into my neck. This could just be because my breasts get heavy? For reference, I'm 5'6", 143 lbs, wear a size 8 or 10 in most clothes, and as mentioned below am most comfortable in a 34f in other bras by this brands although I measure to a 32g. Maybe minus my last ten pounds my 32g will be mor comfortable, but I'm still searching for a more comfortable, yet shapely, convertible bra. Star off for poor sizing, but excellent bra. For reference my measurements are 34.5 upper bust, 39.5 full bust, and 30.5 under bust. Most bras I wear a 32G. I have four Le Mystere nursing bras. Three are 34F, and one is 32g. These run small in the band, and that 32g only gets worn when there is no other choice. It isn't awful, but it isn't as comfortable as my 34fs. So when I saw people saying this bra ran small, I thought I was familiar enough with the brand to go with my usual 34F. It fit, but it was extremely uncomfortable. I knew I'd never wear it so I sent it back. I held the band up to my other Le Mystere 34f bras and sure enough, there was about a two inch discrepancy. I really wanted a convertible bra, and they are pretty hard to find in my size, so I took the risk and ordered a 36E. I felt silly with my 30" rib cage, but desperation made me give it a try. And guess what? It fits perfectly! I'd like to add that I used to be a professional bra fitter, so I'm fully aware of how many women are wearing the wrong size bra. Odd this company should vary so much within their own line, but there you have it. Once I found my fit I'm super happy. It does have some pillow type cushioning I worried would be a mess with my large cups, but nope, rather just rounds things out, giving me a lovely shape.

Nice bra, but...

I had originally ordered this bra in the nude color, in a 36G. It came, no problems, and it will work for what I need it to, but it's a little big in the band for me. The cup is fine. I was curious about the black color, and since I wanted to compare, I ordered the black in 34G. It was just delivered, and when I opened the package, part of one of the straps of the bra IS GONE! IT'S NOT THERE AT ALL! The other strap was 'connected' to this short, incomplete strap, to make it like the halter style, but the piece that is really for the halter is in the little baggie dangling from the tag. There are two kinds of ends on the straps of this bra: one that snaps together, and one that hooks into the band. THEY ARE NOT COMPATIBLE!! The snaps snap with each other, but the hooks go into the band. And I only have ONE hook that goes into the band! I mean, seriously, Amazon? You sent me a bra with a strap and a half, and an additional piece?? A bra that I can't even really try on, other than I have a strap from the nude bra to put in?! I assume that someone returned this bra, and took it apart, and didn't know how to put it together again. Either that, or someone at Le Mystere doesn't know how to put together their bra, either. Either way, I am disappointed and angry. For $65, I expected better. I will be returning this. (FYI the 34G I could barely hook in front, but I couldn't really spin the bra around me, so it wouldn't have worked anyway. I think the cup would have been fine, but I will stick with the 36. It wasn't going to be an everyday bra anyway, I was really interested in a convertible bra for certain occasions. One that fit, and was functional). Oh, well. :/

High quality bra, small band size, projected breasts

This bra is made for projected breasts, and based on how extremely tight the band is, does really well for women with a small ribcage. I ordered a 32G which as you may guess is an extremely hard size to find given the small band, large cup issue. I don’t have the right under curve in my breast, so I always need some kind of push up/graduated padding to fill out the bottom where I don’t have that curve. This bra is perfect for me even with the extremely tight band. I simply added in a bra extender piece and it works well. My shoulders are quite narrow too and the straps stay up fairly well, so I give this bra 5 stars. The fabric is extremely soft to the touch and feels amazing. Warning though: make sure to wash this bra very gently by hand. I didn’t take care of my last version of this bra, and unfortunately the top of the bra cup starts to fold down because the structure had bent too much even in the gentle cycle of the washer. High quality bra that IMO is made for women with a small band size and projected breasts.

Nice bra! Band small but stretches with some work

Overall good value for < $20. Like it a lot almost love it. Nice fabric, supportive, and soft. Feels great at first, but a thick layer of padding in cups makes chest feel hot/caged in after a few hours so I’m ready to rip it off as soon as I get home from work. Padding is nicely contoured within bra but just too much bulk for C/D cups on my size 6 lean and tall build. The band is definitely one/two sizes too tight—I solved this with a good grip and careful, methodical muscling and stretching so that the band eases into the size it should. Overall it’s a keeper but definitely not my go-to bra. Best for dresses, loose sweaters, and low cut tops as this bra pushes my mommy of 5, sad boobs up and together like they used to be over 20 years ago :)

Nice bra, didn't work for me.

I was torn on whether to give this bra 3 or 4 stars, since 3.5 isn't an option. I ordered my usual 32D. The band was too small even on the first hook. I could get it fastened but whoooo boy was it unpleasant. The cups, however, fit great. And there's a "seductive uplift" alright. It definitely put the girls front and center. So it's likely that a 34D would fit, but since I ordered multiple other bras at the same time and one of those fit great (and was cheaper) I didn't need to bother. Now, I wasn't a fan of the straps. The felt fine when trying the bra on, but I think they are a little too thin and could start to dig in over the course of the day.

It fits too small

The band was too tight, and it costs you money to return it, so you lose money when you buy it
