Works good. Holds together.
Works good. I used to use Phenyl Red in a dropper bottle to detect leaks, but that's gotten more expensive lately and it doesn't hold together very well underwater. I got the Blue version of this leak detector and it works great. It holds together underwater very well. And the syringe with the plastic tube works really well to help pinpoint the leak. Also, you get lots of dye. I used two syringes to go around my pool, and still have tons left in the bottle. Probably can fill the syringe a dozen times or so. Went around to all the obvious places, skimmer tile line, skimmer basket area, return jets, pool light, etc. Just run a ribbon around the common places, and look to see if it gets sucked in. Found the leak on one of the return jets. Then used some JB Weld WaterWeld to plug the leak.

Makes finding leaks so much easier.
After watching a few YouTube videos I ordered this dye and gave it a try. Within a few minutes I had ruled out the most likely culprits and was able to quickly narrow it down to a small split in my skimmer body just below the basket support rim. I then used some pool epoxy to seal things up and now we'll see how long it holds.

Great if you know where the leak is I guess
Maybe I should have read the instructions further. I do not currently know where our leak is so this is a complete waste of money- in fact, I think our leak is actually in the pipes but who can get 1/4 inches away from a leaking pipe underground? So frustrated when I received the package and read the instructions. Probably not their fault but goodness- if I knew within 1/4 of an inch, probably wouldn't need this.

Same as what professionals use
Easy to use. Comes with all you need to detect minute leaks. Make sure you get super close to the suspected leak and carefully inject a small amount.

Excellent tool to detect a leak.

It works OK
This dye seems to work OK and it doesn't dissipate in chlorinated water like other dyes do, but despite my in-ground pool losing an inch of water every week (with a cover on it) I still cannot find the leak anywhere. That's not the dye's fault though, its my incompetence.

Works as described
Easily see if that little spec in your liner is actually leaking water as it will draw in the die. Works as described. Helps verify small leaks. Good to have on hand if your a pool owner.

Make sure u can hold your breath a long time cause u can’t have the water moving when your looking for small holes. But it does work good finding the leaks
