Fine Lechuza Item, looks great, and plants thrive in it.

This Lechuza planter is very nicely made and most plants will thrive in it. One of my favorite features is that plants can't be over-watered so long as you have a well draining soil. The original Lechuza specially-formulated plant substrate, soil mix, is very useful. It helps planting to be effective, and one doesn't need to use a miracle grow moisture control planter soil, or the similar ones. It almost always feels a little damp on the surface, but not soggy, or muddy, and the excess water drains into the reservoir. Fine Lechuza Item, looks great, and plants thrive in it. I highly recommend it.

Excellent product - Not-so-good Instructions & Product Info

This planter box is superbly engineered and really deserves a 5-star review; but I had to take it down a notch because the assembly instructions and other product literature are TERRIBLE. The only reason I knew how to assemble and use the water-level float indicator is because I have used other self-watering planters with similar floats. You definitely need EVERYTHING included with the original packaging. If you are unlucky enough to receive a product with something missing, you might realize this because there is not a list of what should be included - not in the box or on the website. Thanks to other reviewers, I knew to search for and purchase the brackets separately. Happy I did so. Maybe a bit pricey but also very-well engineered, with a design that can provide a level platform for the planter in a variety of installation settings.

Love this!

Very easy to assemble and while it isn’t cheap (and you have to pay separately for the brackets), you pay for how sturdy it is. I have this on my balcony and it has withstood heavy rain and thunder storms. Currently growing sweet mint, lemon balm, and pansies.

The color is perfect!

I wanted this particular color, but it took longer to press than others, but I was ready to wait. I didn't regret it, I really liked the pot, I think I'll order more. packing is normal, delivery is quite fast. It's really beautiful but it so expensive.

Fooled me once

Looks good but material is cheap plastic. Definitely not worth the price… also: maybe it’s my own poor comprehension of the poorly delineated instructions, but the self-watering gauge doesn’t work

Simply perfect

I absolutely love them - I bought 3! These were really easy to assemble, even with all the hanging apparatus for my balcony railing. They look great, and my plants are thriving. I used one section for my basil and it has been growing so thick and fast that I’ve now got a glut of pesto in my freezer - and it’s still going! Yes, they’re pricey to start out with, but they’re such high quality that I know that they will last for many, many years. Also, once set up and planted, they’re extremely attractive. I’m absolutely thrilled, and highly recommend them….now I’m buying more of the range!

Brilliant, five stars

Bought these to replace expensive metal ones which completely rusted and bottom fell out of them and do glad I did. They are brilliant window boxes, look lovely, contemporary, sleek and easy to assemble and very sturdy. My window ledges are on a slant and unfortunately I came out in morning to see the boxes lying on the ground on concrete and not one scratch or mark on them which was such a relief. This happened several times due to my own stupidity until I got them secured to the ledges and each time they survived the fall in tact. Plants are thriving and I’m loving that I don’t have to water every day and can be comfortable I am not over feeding or under feeding them. Will be sticking to this line of product in future and will be replacing all internal pots one by one.

Not as strong as I first though

Initially I was thrilled with this large planter. Felt it would do the job, as it was so expensive... However - one of the handles has become detached...... So I can l no longer turn the troughs to catch sun on both sides..... What is the point of having handles that are not attached properly?

Looks good, great design

Really clever design. Was worried might look plasticky but actually quite pleasantly pleased with appearance. Clever design, although you have to wait a while before you can start using the self watering so am looking forward to trying that in a few weeks time.

Ständig Defekter Schwimmer und sich verziehendes PP Material etc.

Diese Pflanztöpfe sind eigentlich bis auf ein paar Ausnahmen echt nicht schlecht von der Idee her, leider nerven die paar wenigen Ausnahmen ganz ordentlich. 1. Wer so wie ich einen kleinen Balkon mit Starken Gefälle hat, wo Er oder Sie die Pflanztöpfe für zB Karnivoren (Fleischfressende Pflanzen) am Boden des Balkons und nicht in Regalen nutzen möchte, und daher den Wasserspeicher komplett bis auf Anschlag voll halten möchte, wird sich gleich nach kürzester Zeit über den ständig hängengebliebenen Schwimmer der Wasserstandsanzeige ärgern, da dieser wenn er hängen bleibt ständig einen vollen Wasserstand anzeigt obwohl das Resservoire bereits halb leer ist. Leider ist im Bauteil welcher den Schwimmer enthält Dieser Schwimmkörper Nicht linear stabilisiert, weshalb er sich anscheinend schon bei geringstem Gefälle verklemmt. 2. Der Blumentopf Inneneinsatz verzieht sich leider sehr schnell etwas, wenn man Diesen mit heißen Wasser anfangs grundreingt um Ihn von Diversen Verunreinigungen zu befreien versucht, zwar nicht so schlimm wie bei der Version Cube Canto 30 aber dennoch merkt man die Verformung etwas. 3. Der PH wert des Wassers ändert sich innerhalb des Topfes binnen eines Tages wenn zu starke Sonneneinstrahlung darauf trifft - Teilweise um +2.0 ph in Richtung Basisch - Könnte eventuell am verwendeten PP (Polypropylen) Material liegen, welches laut diversen Infoseiten im Internet sich unter dem Einfluss von UV-Strahlung zersetzt, und sich so im Wasser ablagert. 4. Noch fragwürdig ob dieser Pflanztopf wirklich auch im ungeschützten Außenbereich am Balkon den/die Winter übersteht da das PP Material unter 0 Grad laut meherer Infos im Internet spröde wird, und die Bruchgefahr sogesehen ansteigt (Eis/Druck/Gewicht > Verschraubte Balkonhalter). Immerhin erreicht ein Topf voll angefüllt mit Wasser und Mischsubstrat (80% Organisch/20% Mineralisch) Ohne Bepflanzung in Nichtgefrohrenen Zustand ein ungefähres Gewicht von 16kg - Das zugehörige Balkonhalter Set hält so um die 25 kg aus. Sofern sich da nichts verzieht wird so ein PflanzTopf wohl auch den Winter gut überstehen denke, ohne irgendwo zu brechen... Zudem finde ich Dieses Produkt echt überteuert, da dafür das weder das Balkonkasten Halter Set und weder Balkonkasten Halter Ergänzungsleite (für Gitterbalkone) in der Produktlieferung enthalten sind, und beide zusammen mehr kosten als ein einzelner Pflanztopf. Hoffe Diese Infos konnten einigen Hier weiterhelfen, und hoffe der Hersteller berücksichtigt und verbessert bei Gelegenheit auch einige dieser nervigen Produkteigenschaften.
