Good switch

I found this to be a very well built and durable switch and wholeheartedly disagree with the reviewer who state it wasn't "robust" and happened to break while installing. This switch installs very easily and I cannot imagine how it would break upon installing. It isn't mentioned in the product description but it does come with one key. One fault that some may find with this is that it didn't come with any installation instructions. So if I may be so bold as to offer a tip for those who have limited experience with installing switches - install it with the green grounding screw on the bottom. The hot, or power source, lead (usually black or red) is attached to the top connector and the return (white lead) on the bottom. It does have push in connections but as easy as it may be to use them avoid doing so - those connections are not as reliable as using the screw downs connections. When connecting the lead to the screw attach the loop of the lead around the screw so that it curves in a clockwise direction, this will ensure a nice tight fit when you tighten the screw - attaching the loop in a counter clockwise direction will cause the lead to back off the connector when the screw is tightened.

Good quality locking switch.

I use several of these to control circuits that I don't want just anybody to be flipping on-off. Heavy duty, but rather pricey.

Lockable toggle switch

Exactly what I wanted- a keyed light switch with universal key. At church we have porch lights that have been replaced with motion sensors or dust to dawn sensors- we wanted to keep the switch capability but not have to put tape over the switch to keep folks from inadvertently cutting them off. These replace the present toggle switches- and can only be turned off or on with the universal special key. One key fits them all. Fair price.
