Trusted brand-plastic frame

Trusted brand. Pic on Amazon misleading. Frame is plastic, not metal. Only reason I knocked off one star. Wall plate socket IS brass tho.

Reasonable price and looks nice.

Very well built and easy to install. Looks great on the wall and not cheap looking like a previous phone plug I purchased elsewhere. Reasonable price too.

This Leviton replaced another very similar Leviton unit which was 20 years old. It had been outside on the screen porch and finally corroded to the point where it didn't work. The new Leviton 40649-W 6P4C is mainly plastic whereas the old model was mainly metal. But it did everything the old model did, so, how can one not be satisfied. I call it modern manufacturing processes which holds the cost down.

Not really useable

This would have been perfect if I could have attached both screws on the cover plate - the holes don't line up. I'm wondering if this was made for a country other than U.S.
