Very good speed control

Used this on a whole house atic fan. Easy to install. Worked great.

Not what I expected

Works more like a dimmer instead of a fan speed control. Does not have the 3 speeds my old one had. Now my fan hums in the slower speeds but quieter in the fastest speed. Will need to replace it. It should have the 3 speeds by number and 3 clicks to coincide with the speeds of the fan.

Installed by professional but did not work.

The switch did not work after being installed by a professor. Returned for quick and full refund.

Not for Kichler 4 speed ceiling fan

Had two Kichler 52" fans that were controlled by one of their standard 4-speed (discreet) switches. Tried this switch as the Kichler one was a bit clumsy and hard to hit the exact notch for any particular speed setting. Fans were within the amperage rating for the switch; wired in parallel. With the Leviton switch, they hummed noticeably regardless of any speed adjustment, whether it be to the rheostat in the back of the switch, or with the facing dial. Tried changing the polarity with no noticeable change to the humming. So - not sure that it's suitable with most fans as it seems to indicate. Had to go back to the original Kichler.

It's not what the picture shows

It's nothing like the picture. You don't get the wall plate and you can't fine one that will fit. I purchased a wall plate and a filler plate and neither would work with the switch. I had to us a double toggle switch plate to make it work (because it's in a 2 gang box). It works on the fan but it's a little tough to make it look right.

Only fan controller that worked with my old fan

I have an older fan that doesn't work with the new fancy fan controllers. This is the only one I found that works.

Works Great

I use it to control the speed of a muffin fan which is part of a make-shift solder fume extractor. I'm able to get full speed right down to a relatively low speed. Minimum speed is also adjustable via pot on the unit itself.
