Great hood for the money

Bought the hood in 2020. Lightweight enough for me to forget I’m wearing it as I walk around. There is only one thing about the hood that bothers me, and that is that spatter gets under then front glass and hits the actual glass for the auto lens. But even with 3 years of using it everyday, the auto shade still works perfec lt and is still visible through

Knob on side love it/hate it relationship

So if you do one process and don’t change shades wouldn’t recommend this. I bumped the knob and it easily turns to another setting and shade 7 with 24-27volts mig setup isn’t what you want. However if you are going from grind to weld mode or changing lens shades often it’s perfect. Loved the graphics on it and other than the knob of blindness I love it lol

Purchased this as a gift

We bought this for our granddaughter. I'm not sure of the particulars about comfort or light weight, but she loves it and gets lots of compliments from her friends in welding class.

Auto darkening is perfect along with durability and comfort

Fabricating this iron handrail started off with me getting flash burns from the junk shield I had! I seen this on Amazon and for the price I couldn’t pass it up. Once I received it the design was awesome and couldn’t wait to use it. Having auto darkening allowed me to save a lot of time fighting to keep a shield up and not fall down every five seconds. Leaving it on for a hour straight wasn’t a problem because it’s comfortable and fit perfectly. Can’t wait to see more new designs so I can get another one!

For the money it’s a good hood. The design comes off very easy and the knob spins way to easy

After 3 weeks of welding but for the price you can’t beat it

Works well so far

I have used this for mig welding and so far it has worked well. I have not tig welded with the helmet yet so can't contest to how well it works with that.

Lincoln is good stuff

As with most things Lincoln, good stuff. Only gripe would be a little bit stiffer shade adjustment knob. Turns so easy that it is easy to "bump" your adjustment off. Can get flashed if you do not verify the shade setting every time you pick it up.

Just okay...

I thought this was going to be a fantastic welding helmet, but it certainly wasn't up to my expectations. The material is quite thin and when you pick it up at the front to put it on, the plastic flexes quite a bit. This is going to eventually break at the flex point. Occasionally a welding helmet gets dropped. I can see that huge adjustment knob on the outside being the first thing to break. The knob turns far too easily and I've used the helmet several times and the knob was bumped to a different darkness during handling. I'm not sure why the knob is on it anyways, I don't know of any welder that adjusts the darkness setting while welding. The viewing area is smaller than I expected. When I flip down the helmet it feels like it's on a ratchet, it doesn't move smoothly. I've inspected the mounting of the headpiece and I can't find a solution to the ratcheting movement.
