Beautiful but read instructions carefully

Beautiful and well-constructed light fixture. Installation is different that similar light fixtures (at least the many I have installed). The instructions direct you to attach the mounting plate to the electrical box and then connect the wiring to the fixture. Next, you attach the arms to the canopy (the metal "dome" that will fit against the ceiling) and the arms to the glass shade. While this is accomplished the fixture has to hang by the wiring or be held in place by a second person. The last step is to attach the entire light assembly to the mounting plate. In my case, the machine screws sticking down from the mounting plate had to be screwed in (shortened) so the round nuts would tighten the canopy against the ceiling. You can check this and adjust the screws before wiring and connecting everything. There is not a lot of clearance for fitting those two screws through the holes in the canopy and attaching those little round nuts. Not sure why they just didn't engineer hooks to the end of the arms for attaching the shade. The fixture is packed very securely in three pieces of styrofoam (photo). Maybe we've lived too long on the Left Coast, but I've grown to hate styrofoam with a passion. Environmentally it's pretty disgusting and, at a practical level, it takes up a lot of room in the trash. I always try to break it up which means my garage ends up covered in foam bits. Maybe Livex could pressure the Chinese assembler to go back to cardboard.

The most difficult lights to put up ever!

I like, not love how these look now installed in my kitchen. We bought 2. It took around 3 months to fully install them. But really there design is what sucks. The hardware being hidden is what attracted me to them, but the install and cleaning is among the worst and this is after replacing all the lighting on 2 different 3-4 bedrooms homes I’ve had experience with, within the last 2 years. If your considering these read all others reviews as they helped in the installment process.

Great light! Stylish and functional.

Love this light. Inexpensive and you get 300 real watts verses fake LED lighting. Also, real glass globe. Excellent product.

Swirly pattern, not opaque white glass bowl

Be aware that the "alabaster glass" bowl is not opaque white as the photo appears, rather it shows a vivid swirly pattern. The first one I got also had a splotchy white section that looked like a flaw even if (technically) it wasn't. I ordered another to see if the glass bowl looked better but it didn't. Returning both. I didn't get far enough to install it.

7 day returns! What a joke! Not made well at all. Do not buy.

Pour quality control. Will replace these as sin as I can get our to a lighting store. Should not have purchased online. Legs are different lengths, glass isn't round! It looks very crooked once made. We changed or the legs and rotated them, tried everything to fix these things, but with uneven, out-of-round glass, there was no hope. Expensive garbage.
