Sent used sunglasses

Ordered these as I'd had a pair in the past and wanted another pair. The ones I received appeared to be authentic, but were in an unsealed and open box and had some wear and scratches on the left lense. Sent back and went to an actual MJ retailer and purchased an unopened pair for the same price.

MJ's are the best!

Some of my friends think I'm crazy for spending more than $30 on a pair of sunglasses. Other friends have paid more than $200 (which I think it crazy). I purchased these Maui Jim Makaha's because I liked the style, comfort (tried them on at the local Sunglass Hut), weight (or lack thereof), and price ($100-200 is my sweet spot). While you can go to almost any gas station or store and pick up a pair of polarized sunglasses, they aren't nearly as durable and the polarization is in a different direction. You can wear these all day, every day, more many, many years so long as you take care of them and don't let your 15-month-old son snap the frame. Fortunately, if that does happen, you can repair your MJ's by sending them in - It cost me $40 to get a new polycarb frame! So as has been said by many people before me, you get what you pay for. This is a perfect set of glasses to protect your eyes from the sun and has the durability to hold up to almost everything! One thing to note, and it has been noted several times before, some vehicles, not to mention names :cough: BMW :cough:, LCD screens can be filtered out where they appear off when they really aren't (mostly, the radio display). Also, in case you weren't aware, if you are a motorcyclist, be careful wearing any polarized glasses as it can make oil/slick spots on the roadway that are visible to the naked eye "disappear" and could cause you to go down (that's the nature of polarized glasses, though - it removes various reflections).

I love these glasses!

This is my second pair of Maui Jim Kanaha Polarized Sunglasses. My first pair lasted about 6 years before I lost them. I tried several different kinds but nothing compared to the Kanaha's. They are great sunglasses if you're active doing stuff outdoors. I love to wear these when I go running. They grip your head just enough to not fall off but you hardly know they are there. I also like the shading the lenses provide. It's not super dark but it shields the sun from your eyes and allows you to see clearly even on the brightest day. The curvature of the lenses wrap around your eye in such a way to shield the sides to keep excess light from getting in. I would totally recommend these to anyone with an active lifestyle looking for a great pair of sunglasses.

Good Ray Ban Replacement

This is my first pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and I am impressed. I have been using Ray Bans for over twenty years and I figured it was time for a change. The vision through the lenses is awsome. A couple of things that I have issues with is 1, not used to sunglasses with an all plastic frame and 2, the nose pads are not adjustable. Other than that, they are great.

Surprisingly light

I was surprised at how light-weight these are. The fit extremely comfortable and the protection they provide is just perfect. I also love the look, but that's a personal preference. I bought these for after my LASIK surgery for driving and they have not disappointed. I have found that they also seem to fog up a lot less than my previous sunglasses did. The construction feels cheap at first glance, but when you wear them you understand light-weight does not equal cheap. The finish is just right and by far the most comfortable pair of glasses (eyeglasses OR sunglasses) I have ever owned.

Exceptional sunglasses

Excellent sunglasses, used Oakley for years the Ray Ban carbon fiber range for years but when I needed a new pair tried Maui Jim. In my opinion they are far superior, great for all day use, comfortable and light and the lenses are truly outstanding the clarity is the best I have ever experienced. Highly recommend Maui Jim sunglasses

Fantastic looking, fantastic fitting, and fantastic functioning glasses.

These are the real deal, and no matter what the weather, these glasses have proven themselves time and again to really bring clarity to my vision, whether in bright days or overcast. I feel safer on the roads for wearing them as I no longer suffer any surprise flashes of sunlight or reflections from other cars etc. Would buy them again in an instant!

Replacement

After lots of searching to find "over the counter" sunglasses I was delighted to find these on line. Just like my old pair of maui jim they fit well, are very light and do not fall off when I bend forward.

Probably the best

The clarity of vision from these sunnies is amazing, unquestionably the best I've worn (and that includes some big names). The polarising works very well too, they are comfortable and look great. Marked 4* not 5* as being plastic and lightweight they feel a tad flimsy plus they don't feel like a £90 pair (never mind the £130 shop price). Overall though, highly recommended
