Hard for kids to get right, ends up unusable

If you are already a practiced hand at model building, this will provide no challenge, but if that's the case, why would you want this product? Unless you help your kids ensure that the wheels are assembled perfectly, the end product is pretty janky. The glue is serviceable, but I bet the wheels would fall apart even if assembled perfectly. I have great experiences with most Melissa & Doug products. However, this product is difficult for kids to get right, and then only useful as a display piece. Ours are already in the trash.

Great independent kids activity

This makes such a great activity for young children! Easy to assemble independently and makes a useable and sturdy toy! Great as a birthday gift or a Sunday craft.

Buyer beware paint does not come off!!

Great kit. Read instructions and I thought meterial was referring to clothes... Nope. It did not come off my wood table with soap and water. I had to use a special scrub pad to get it off. If I were doing adult painting I would have put plastic down, but I figured it's a kids craft so the paint would just wash off the table...nope.

Beautiful beautiful colours the only problem I had was the train it won't roll but Melissa & Doug they are sending me out a new one we're waiting for you know in the midst of this coronavirus just takes longer to get to us but very fast reply and fix the problem right away we're just waiting for it to be delivered now but it's absolutely gorgeous and who wouldn't want to paint and decorate and then play with it amazing idea

Awesome project for the kids

Love these and all my kids love painting and assembling. My 6 year old daughter helps her younger brothers with assembly. It’s a project they all work on together and are able to complete by them selfs.
