Use the Drill carefully. Will do the job as intended.
Does the job. But setting the collar position is painful. I designed and 3d printed a simple jig to set the collar positions for different wood thicknesses quickly. I also bought a companion box of pocket screws and fun part is there are two additional pocket screw drivers that come in the box which is great! This jig is good if you want to perform repairs in spots where the workpiece cannot be brought to the jig. One top tip, insert the drill bit into the hole before turning on the drill. The drill bit being ungainly long will have some imbalance causing it to wobble and you will likely break the drill if you try to drive it into the jig when it's rotating. I still have to get used to clamping down the workpieces when driving the screws in. Additional clamps are definitely advisable.

Way cheaper than the blue ones
This is a nice little pocket hole jig. Better than what I was doing which was pretty neanderthal. Admittedly thought about knocking a star off because I had just a bit of trouble getting it to stay where I wanted to drill, but I think that was mostly user error. Just for your awareness, I found that I definitely need to make sure the bit is comfortably in the hole before drilling or it can catch. I do wish the metal sleeve ran all the way to the flat bottom but so far it has not affected function so no real complaint there. Once I got it situated, it worked like a charm and I was able to drill a nice pocket hole with relative ease. It's one of those things that will be nice to have around for the occasional use. And I'm totally ok paying less than 14 bucks for the jig, the bit, the depth stop collar with alan wrench, and the torx drive bit all in one package. This also has a magnet embedded in the flat area so you can stick it to your toolbox or workbench for easy grabbing. Magnets are a big plus for me anyway, though polarizing to some. Bottom line, cheap and effective, handy jig to have around without spending mega money on the well known multi-hole jig. I'd recommend it.

Perfect for small projects
Easy to use, portable and perfect for small jobs. Used it to assemble PVC widow trim with excellent results.

More Useful than I Could Have Imagined
I bought this with the intention of just drilling pocket holes for an entertainment center I am building. First off, it does this incredibly well and even in soft woods leaves a nice looking hole. The magnet makes it super convenient to set up a quick jig with a clamp to drill holes in several pieces of wood consistently. On top of this, every single regular vertical hole I drilled I was able to make use of this. There are a few places where there is a notch to help hold your drill bit straight up and down. The material is also very tough. I dropped it a could of times onto a concrete floor on accident and there was no damage to be seen. All in all it was super convenient and for the price I feel like I got it for a bargain.

Great alternative and a far better alternative to the Kreg mini
I already had a pocket hole jig from General Tools, however it's fixed and it can be used when making holes in angles or far inside the boards. So I was thinking about getting the Kreg Mini jig when I saw a video comparing it to the Milescraft pocketjig 100, all the advantages of the Milescraft were pretty evident. Markings in the tool for the board thickness, magnet for holding the tool to the clamp, torx bit for the milescraft screws or any other that is Torx, very clearly explained instructions and, very important, a better price, $13.49 for the Milescraft vs $19.99 for the Kreg one. The decision was obvious. So far I have drilled about 15 holes with it and works great. As you can see in the pictures of a small board, I drilled two holes on the same side using the General Tools jig and one on the top and bottom of it. The holes made by the Milescraft are much more cleaner which means easier sanding and filling. Will see how it last in the long run with constant use, I have a lot of projects where it will be used but so far I'm glad I purchased it and not the Kreg one.

Great jig for the money
Its perfect for any casual pocket hole need, if you needed to do 100 in a row i suggest getting the upgraded version with the two holes and a clamp, based on the photos above great for adding some support struts for the bathroom niche rather then me splitting the wood just driving them in.

Great for Hobbyiest
Learning to use a pocket hole jib was on mini bucket list. This item worked great. So far, have only used to learn to join scraps. But very easy to learn. Hardest part is various thicknesses of stock and their adjustment.

Affordable and does it's job.
Simple and affordable option that gets the job done. Compared to brand name jigs that cost upwards of $70-$80 bucks this does what it's supposed to do and makes a pretty strong joint between wood in the test pieces I've done. Only complaint I have and the reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 stars is because of the bit that comes with it. It comes with a star head bit for star head pocket screws. Only pocket hole screws I could find in hardware stores were all the standard square head driver. Which the more expensive jig comes with the right bit to drive the screws but since the square drive bits came in a 2 pack for about $5 this is still the more affordable option. Deffinately reccomend this product to anybody new to pocket hole joinery as a starting point before buying a bigger more expensive jig or if you only do woodworking as a weekend hobby like myself and can't justify spending money for a jig you'd use once. It also seems to be relatively well made, but still lightweight and comes with detailed directions.

Excellent tool. A must have for simple easy joinery.
I’m just getting into woodworking and wasn’t sure if I was getting caught up in the “I need to own every gadget possible” phase when I bought this. It was between this and the Kregg and I wasn’t even sure if I needed the larger version rather than this “mini”. I can’t compare it to the larger more complicated versions nor to the Kregg counter part but I can say, the reasons I chose this OVER the Kregg were 2 reasons...1. I throughly the magnet in this version would be handy when using it with metal clamps and 2. The measuring guide markings on the side (which did not come with the Kregg mini). Both of these options have come in very handy and I’m positive make this easier to use than the Kregg version, they can’t not. I’ve used this jig way more often than expected because I‘ve realized as I’ve made my various projects that things just look better then the screw is hidden and I find myself reverting to doing a pocket hole rather than most other forms of joinery. I’m also quite lazy so the fact I revert to using this will tell you it’s really quite simple to use and doesn’t take much more time and the end result is quite nice. Someone commented that they wished this had a “shavings exhaust hole” like the Kregg does so the saw dust when drilling has “somewhere to go” but I’ve never found this to be an issue. I actually have no idea what difference it would even make, that’s how unaffected I am by the lack of that shavings hole. I’ve regretted a few word working purchases but this is definitely not one of them. It’s made of plastic but the inner sheath where the drill but goes is lined with metal (at least at the beginning of the opening). The little magnetic makes it very easy to clamp on and off to do repeated holes throughout your project. One thing I’ve learned is that you can’t just buy pocket hole screws anywhere. Even my local Home Depot only sells Kregg brand pocket hole screws. I assumed a pocket hole screw, while perhaps not something the average person uses every day, would still be a common screw sold in bulk along side wood, metal, and all other screws. It appears that Kregg has some sort of monopoly almost on the pocket hole screw industry, and it’s not a common screw to come across. It’s not even found in the screw aisle at my Home Depot and a few Home Depot’s in my area (Vancouver BC) were sold out of many of the sizes too (I assume from lack of sales/interest and therefore they simply don’t stock them all the time) . They are even in a special “Kregg” section of the store. My point is, they aren’t easy to come by and they aren’t common so you should check to make sure you’re able to get Pocket hole screws “easily”.

Good but not perfect
Definitely a competitor for the Kreg. Works fine, is easy to use. What sets it apart is the markings to help you set its position for differing thicknesses of wood. As I understand, the Kreg doesn't have this. The disadvantage is that there are no escapment holes, so the shavings get jammed in the drill bit. You have to pull it out partway once or twice per hole to remove the shavings. The Kreg does have that feature. If it weren't for that I would give it a perfect rating.

Worked great first try.
I am building a pantry and I saw one of these jigs used in a youtube video on the topic. I decided I wanted one. It was tricky to figure out at first but I followed all the directions and the nice slanted hole in the image is what I got on my very first try. I have never used one before. Worked like magic! Several shelves later, it's still working.
