Loved it!

Ran the Tokyo marathon with those this year and felt no discomfort whatsoever the whole time. Light but still good enough cushion underneath which is my favorite kind of cushion. Will definitely buy more in the future.

Continue to be the best shoe for me

I have been wearing Mizuno Inspire running shoes since the Inspire 5 (~2011) and they continue to be the best all round most comfortable shoe for me. Unfortunately the durability of more recent versions of the shoe have been questionable due to the back heel interior wear. I’m hoping Mizuno has corrected this issue with the Inspire 16 but only time will tell. The other issue, which is more a minor inconvenience really, are the flat laces. Although they stay tied during long runs, I for some reason find flat laces particularly difficult to undo and plan to swap them out with laces from an older pair. Otherwise these shoes are great especially if you can snag them at a reduced price.

Excellent Shoe, excellent fit, very comfortable

If any of you have ever tried the Nike Max Moto series throughout the early 2000's, but were disappointed when they discontinued it, then this is the shoe for you. For pronators, this shoe is very well padded, giving you excellent support, and will keep your feet comfortable all day, even if you are overweight. Mizuno makes other kinds of running shoes, but the Wave Inspire is their flagship. I have never worn a Wave Inspire that I didn't like; these shoes are well built and won't fall apart as easily as their Nike counterparts. You don't have to be a pronator to use them; it simply means they have extra padding on the sides and arch, which is a good thing for just about everyone, in my opinion (remember that less padding equals more shock on your joints). I also like the shoelaces they use; they don't undo while you're running. In terms of longevity, I usually replace my running shoes every ten months, but you can wear them even longer if you take good care of them. Mine still looked great after ten months, but as a frequent runner, I was told that the materials are the most springy during the first ten months, so I don't usually keep a pair longer than a year at most.

A very comfortable shoe but somewhat hot

I run about 12 miles a week and also lift at the gym 3 days/week. I want a shoe that I can wear to do both. When I find a shoe I like, I want to buy it again. I had been wearing a neutral Mizuno but it has been discontinued. I tried the Mizuno Sky 5 but I thought there was too much cushion in the toe. I tried the Wave Rider 24 and love it so I have those in blue. I also ordered this Wave inspire 16. Even though this shoe has more support than what I had been wearing, it is still a really comfortable shoe for me. I have found it to be fairly hot, though. They are black and not well vented (like my old mesh shoes). It was also a sunny day when I took them for their first test run. They were so comfortable with the right amount of cushion and spring for me. I also love the way they look. I really like them and recommend them.

Mizuno has really stepped up their running shoes

Great cushioning, especially in the heel unit. Just an FYI- this is NOT a stability shoe. This shoe offers midsole/outsole cushioning, strong energy return from the outsole, and overall excellent comfort. Doesn't do too badly in the debris-collecting department, either, if you live in a place with a lot of rocky terrain and thorny plants (we do). Very much enjoying this shoe, and have bought 3 pair in the last 5 months.

FIt great, look great, feel great, but could use a little more spring or lift in the insole/sole.

This may be a matter of personal taste, but I prefer a shoe with a springy insole or springy (slightly squishy) bounce to the sole. A bit of memory foam to conform to your foot and a bit of rebound in the sole. These didn't quite meet the comfortability I prefer. But again, this is subjective to each person. To my taste, a Saucony or Hoka running shoe is closer to the mark.

Wore the soles out

Love them still wear them but they are done i put an absurd amout of miles on these before they wore out in all conditions; pavement to mountain trails(not suggested). Will huy again or the 17 or what ever they are up to now

Great for bigger guys

I've been active duty At for 14 years and these are by far the best running shoes I've had in my career. As a bigger guy (6', 210lbs) running upwards of 12 miles a week. I find that after those runs I no longer have as much knee/ankle pain as I've had with previous shoes. Currently on my second pair.

Comfortable and stylish

Perfect walking/running/ everyday shoe. My hubby got fit tested at running room with the wave inspire 17 but they didn’t have it in black so I bought him the 16 in black on Amazon. Fit is the same as the 17.

I always have to buy men’s running shoes because women’s running shoes are never available in my size… These shoes at size 7 1/2 for men fit about like a size 9 for women seasons are a little bit smaller though
