Ok but...

I don't know if the valving is wrong for the set... but it is disappointing that water can not simultaneously have a maximum spray... Either or head spray so don't get that heavy volume of water when desired.

Recommend,... but with important caveats.

The media could not be loaded. Well-built shower fixture ensemble that I would buy again and recommend to others but with a couple of important caveats that need to be addressed. #1. Moen did a lousy job of packaging this ensemble. Why exclude valves that are absolutely necessary for installation and function??? #2. (This one caused me a bit of grief.) In the Amazon product description it clearly states "without valve." It SHOULD state "without valve(s)!!!" I told my contractor that I would handle obtaining all of the plumbing fixtures for our bathroom remodel to make sure everything was of the quality and matching decor we wanted. When I read the product description, I logically assumed all I needed was one of the two valves featured in the "Frequently bought together" collection. Since I didn't like the idea of buying an overcomplicated valve that automatically compensated for water pressure changes, I selected what I thought was the less-complicated valve choice. When it came time for installation, I handed my contractor the Moen ensemble and the one valve I had purchased. He then gave me the bad news that I had not purchased the other valve needed to complete the install. He had to run out to a local retailer to get the valve he needed. #3. For the price ($519.00 total with BOTH valves) You would think Moen would give you a handheld shower that didn't leak when switched off using the mechanical buttons in the handle. Unfortunately, our handheld shower head leaks quite a bit when switched off. I don't know if we just got a bad one or if all of them leak in the off position. If not for the leak, we could leave the temperature set at a comfortable level and just shut the water off at the handheld shower.

Stylish and well built retrofit

This is a really nice sturdy shower kit way better than anything your gonna find at a box store. You will need to get your rough hard ware and valves but do your research first, think of how you want your set up as this kit has the selection for 1-3, my mistake was getting the three way valve, after the bathroom remodeling it was to late so my plumber said you really only have two functions all on or the handheld, my logic say we'll why the hell is called a 3 way valve. So I installed a separate in line shut off for the second shower head I purchased directly from moen (to the tune of 90 bucks) so in theory the three way valve you should be fine. I love it so does my toddler especially with the hand held!

High Quality But The Sprayer Handle Doesn't Rest in Sliding Clamp Cradle

Leaving my comments up - but problem solved: the plumber had the cord on backward. The sprayer handle sits fine now. The sprayer handle won't rest in the slidng clamp cradle. The cradle is too large and not the same shape as the bottom of the handle, it just falls out. Otherwise, its beautiful and solid feeling. I ordered the brushed nickel finish and the sprayer doesn't seem exactly the right color so I'm wondering if the manufacturer made a mistake or made a bad substitution. Not happy with the purchase, the plumbing is a bit complicated and I'm invested now with a faulty product. This would be a 5 star review if not for the sprayer dangling in my shower with no functioning cradle.

Great product

I've had this in my remodeled show for about 9 months now. It looks great. Some people have complained about water spots and the finish. I wipe the fixtures down after every shower. No spots after 9 months.

Does not come with valve

We ended up not installing this product and returning. Looks very well made, although for the price, I would have preferred a different plate cover. It has red and blue to denote the temp, rather than the upgraded sun and snowflake. After all the researching and purchasing, our plumber informed us that it would require a $500 valve in order to install it. We just didn't want to make the additional investment.

Very nice, all metal

Very nice, all metal, Moen quality. The main shower head is very boring and doesn't offer much coverage. We are in the process of replacing that head with a 2 in 1 head (like the delta in2ition). With small children, we need to be able to use the head and the hand shower at the same time - we just doubled the size of our shower so it gets colder faster since it's 5x6' walk in. We needed to buy the entire trim kit and this took care of that, our contractor had no trouble installing it, and it's beautiful.

Nice looking set

Nice looking set. Two negatives: The hand held sprayer has a circular pattern spray with no spray in the center, kind of a hole where there is no water. Wish it was more evenly distributed. Second negative is that the On-Off valve must be turned in a complete circle, going from hot to cold, to turn it off while showering. The result is that when you turn it back on you get hit with cold water. The temperature must then be readjusted to resume showering. I would prefer a push on, pull off type valve where the temperature setting stays the same.
