Stylish and Substantial

By looking at the picture, you have concluded this is a nice looking faucet. And I can assure you, it looks better that its photo. My biggest concern was that it wouldn't be shiny chrome. The picture makes it look like brushed nickel, but this is the mirror-like chrome finish you would expect. The hot/cold indicators are porcelain insets, and you can choose English (Hot/Cold) or French (Chaud/Froid) writing(that's what they mean by European-inspired script, I guess). I paired this with the Moen rough-in kit, and together, they make this faucet feel very substantial when you use it. The levers glide, and they have some real heft in your hand. As I have just put it in, I can't speak yet to durability, but I will update this review as required. But my plumber recommended Moen (along with Grohe and Delta) as being particularly durable (at the moment--these things change as manufacturing moves from place to place). In the meantime, I am quite pleased with this purchase. It arrived very quickly, and was exactly as advertised, and the product exceeds my expectations.

Missing valve

Did not realize this was only a trim kit when I purchased. Very expensive for a trim kit. Plumber had to go out and get the valve which was needed to complete the installation. A bit frustrating....It is beautiful though.

Beautiful, smoothe operation, but bad quality control made this a less than perfect experience.

Beautiful faucet with very smooth operation. But watch out; ours came missing the washer for the aerator. Called Moen and they sent out a replacement, but for this much money, you'd think quality control would have caught the missing part.

Such a beautiful piece for a bathroom

Such a beautiful piece for a bathroom! the elegant shape of the faucet gets us many compliments. Only downside is the water seems to stain the metal and I find myself wiping down the handles and faucet all the time to prevent water stains.

The product is beautiful. I installed it in a guest bathroom for my mom, as she is now living with us. The cold water handle kept coming loose because of her constant cleaning. Then she decided to use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner around the sink and faucets. It completely took the finish off the faucet/handles. Now it is ruined and I have to replace. I thought they were stainless steel, but apparently it's just covered with some kind of chrome coloring or whatever. Disappointed this happened on such an expensive faucet! Now, my husband doesn't want me purchasing another Moen.

Received defective product

We replaced the faucets in 3 of our 4 bathrooms - all with Moen faucet and valve assemblies. This particular faucet has been producing an initial spurt of yellow water for a week now - not getting better not getting worse. I called Moen customer support for advice, they said since it's still within the retailer's return window that I should return it. A plumber is here today removing the faucet and valve assembly, I tried running a clean q-tip inside the faucet and I have found a significant rusty area. These are not supposed to rust! I purchased directly Amazon, not from a third party reseller. I'm unsure what's gone wrong here, and am definitely unhappy about having a plumber come a second time. I've had to find the same faucet and valve from a hardware store and hoping for a better outcome as I really love the faucet itself. It's size and spout reach are perfect for a square sink.
