Great Product

Not as depicted
I've been looking for a bronze towel bar to go along with the Catlantis themed bathroom for our child. (Cat-Atlantis. Look up a cat riding a whale with a trident as a shower curtain.) Finding matching hardware that wouldn't be $300 for a towel bar alone proved very difficult since bronze or true copper seem to have fallen out of vogue. Moen's Vale shower bar in Old World bronze, a beautiful rubbed bronze in this picture, looked like it fit the bill but it absolutely doesn't. The Bad: It's not as displayed. Forget a rich, warm bronze or even a cooler bronze with a deep patina the way the image shows here. It came as a very pale shade, almost like a milk-heavy latte. Not bronze at all, definitely not any metallic brown tone. While the Vale is much better than the Mediterranean bronze of Moen's line (which is nearly black), the Old World bronze here does *not* match the Old World bronze of their curved shower bar, which I was specifically trying to match. Other Vale products seen in store were likewise not the right shade, which I discovered after purchasing this. It's really pale, a dusting of cocoa powder really. I didn't like the finish at all. The Good: Moen makes solid products, and the Vale shower bar is no different. It feels solid but lightweight. Excellent packaging protects the bell-shaped ends that mount to the wall, and the bar came wrapped up protectively without an excess of plastic. The design and the function probably work just fine, but I sent it right back after seeing the colour was such a bad match. Verdict: The Vale is a good product if its colour meets your needs. The image here is completely misleading; it in no way resembles the actual colour, though. I checked on two phones and two computer monitors, and none came close.

Great towel bar!
This is great towel bar, and the instructions and measurement guide make installation very easy, but I wish the screws at the bottom didn’t require a special tool (included with hardware).

Easy Installation
Redid two bathrooms with this series of fixture. Towel bars, rings and TP holders, the whole works. Loved that they came with a template and all possible hardware. Everything installed quickly and easily. These have smaller diameter bases than most other so you will need to do some painting in most cases.

It’s a Moen so it is overpriced. I felt the material looked cheap for classic Moen. The handle installed easily.
