Best path lights ever purchased! Highly recommend
Mr Beams battery powered, motion activated lights have been the best of all the cordless walkway lighting solutions that we’ve tried. They’re pricey at first but when I added up the cost of replacing three batches of failed, dim, cheapo solar lights, Mr Beams were definitely worth the splurge. They’re pleasantly unobtrusive during the day with sufficient path lighting at night. The motion detection reacts in time to light my way before I need to take that next step. Lights stay on a short time afterwards, but not so long that it drains the batteries - so they’re off most of the time until someone walks past. The dark color blends in with mulch, and the clean design harmonizes with many home building styles.

Good bright pathway lights
These are compact and bright. They are a little shorter than I expected so they only light the ground. If they are like other Mr Beams motion sensing lights the batteries will last a long time.

Good product, but QC problems. Suggestion re rain proofing
I've ordered three sets of four and each set has had a unit that doesn't perform correctly. At night, with no motion, the light switches on, times out and switches off, and then immediately switches back on. Repeats over and over. Light was placed on a covered porch, not rained on. I'd like to return the one bad light from my recent order, but there doesn't seem to be an option. Regarding outdoor use and rain. If you use the sleeve to mount the light in a place where it can be rained on, water will fill the "cup" that the base of the light fits in and it's likely that the O-ring on the battery compartment will eventually allow moisture to reach the batteries. I drilled a large (3/8" or so) hole in the base of the mount to allow water to drain out. No problems with wet batteries after the modification.

Lots of light for a small package...
I've had quite a few Mr. Beams products. This is one of their better products. I didn't think this would emit the amount of light that this does. I planned to use this while RV'ing to walk around the RV safely at night. Also, it doubles as a security light and lights the area quite well. In context, I have a 25 ft trailer where I use one for these for hitch area and one on each side. There is enough light to light up each side at 25 feet on the long side and 8 feet on the short sides. Since these are meant to be set and forget, I do have to remove the batteries between trips since there is no on/off switch. I cannot comment on the battery life. In context, the other Mr. Beam c-sized products have lasted approximately a year of use and it's used everyday for my dog run. That being said, the LED does dim at this timeline, so I would advise to change the batteries every six months. I would recommend this product.

Good light. Poor motion detection range. Water leakage problems. [UPDATE]
Nice and bright. Motion detection is shorter range than I would like. Also, water isn't staying out of one of the 2 that I bought. After a couple months outside the battery compartment had water in it (bad for the batteries, they were rechargeables but I had to trash them) and now has a hard time detecting motion because it's full of condensed water vapor. I'll see if I can dry it out. [Update 2017/03/09] The one light that was having water problems became completely inoperable due to the water collection. In an attempt to rescue it, I remove the battery lid and batteries and let it set out to dry. Sure enough, it started working again, so at least they're resilient! To prevent the water problem from happening again, I followed the advice of a commenter and drilled some holes in the base to help water drain out rather than pool up around the batteries. I didn't bother trying to improve their watertightness, though. So far, I've had no further problems with these lights! They've successfully survived a winter, so I may yet consider buying some more to put around the house.

Still going strong!
We’ve had these lights for several months and they’ve done a great job through 18” of snow and heavy rainfall. We purchased several of them and only 1 was faulty. We sealed the top of the light with clear nail polish. The motion sensors work well 9every once in a while one of them is delayed by a second or two) and we’re running strong on the initial batteries after 6 months. These are just bright enough to provide a safe path/stairway but not intrusive to our neighbors.

Proven to hold up
We have had our lights for a year, and are just now replacing all the batteries just as an annual upkeep. We only had one that didn't work, out of 12 lights, one year after installation. We live in the pacific northwest so they must be pretty water resistant. We did have one get rusty on the inside, but it is still working. We ordered 6 more lights for our path. We have a long path/stairway leading to our house and these lights illuminate it perfectly for just long enough. Walking to our house feels like when you are in the grocery store freezer aisle and the lights pop on as you walk through. They work a lot better than we expected! Inclement weather, super dark path, little daylight.....we are impressed.

It works well with motion.
I used it for my steps at the entrance at my backyard. It works but I don’t know how long it will take and I should change the batteries, I used the best alkaline battery and hope it lasts at least one year.

2 lights for less than a Buck
I order the 6 pack MB 566 it's now at my post box I will be picking it up today I have not tried them but my brother has another Model of Mr. Beams and they do a great job on his Pathway and Dock areas. just a note look at the 4 pack price and multiply by 2 less then a Buck and you get 2 more lights and free shipping I should have seen this I am still happy but would have been happier with the 4 pack deal 3 Stars just because of the price difference Dave

Working really well!!
They work well under the snow or rain. I put them on my porch through the stairs to my carport one by one. It was very dark in the night time. I was scarred to walk by. Now it’s very safe. They required one light for 4 each AA batteries, so only the thing I am wondering how long lasting those batteries are. But, it was great shopping!!!
