Works Great - Let's Surface Water Drain Fast

This Double Locking Basin Outlet works with any type plastic/pvc pipe, perforated or not, rigid or flexible. The pipe just has to have a 3" or 4" diameter in order for it to connect to the outlet. These outlets will enhance the effectiveness of any drainage project you may have. Instead of just connecting perforated or solid pipe through/around your flooded area, connect each section of pipe with these basin drain outlets. This will help remove surface water much quicker than waiting for it to penetrate the soil (which may be clayish and so will take a long time) to enter your perforated pipe. NDS is sold in all the home improvement stores and the double locking outlets are very hard to find in stock, especially now in the spring. Price is competitive at $14.00.

Great catch basin for the money!

These cast basins work great for a French drain install. Don't waste your money on the deeper ones all you have to do is add a 6" pipe extension if you need it deeper. Apple drains on YouTube has a great video on doing that. Those deeper ones are upwards of 50 bucks and you can do the exact same thing with these. Highly reccomend.

Came in broken

Just what I needed. Came in broken and looked for the broken pieces in the box and nothing in the box. Very disappointed they knew it was broken and still shipped it.

Added to a gutter drain pipe that kept getting blocked, problem solved

I had a gutter drain pipe that was over 100 ft in length. It kept getting blocked and to clear it required renting a drain snake from Home Depot. Just adding this enabled me to use my 25ft snake, plus it now catches some of the leaves and stuff, so I can clear-out the drain before problems arise.

Cheap alternative & works

A very good & cheap alternative for $30-40 square boxes. Someone mentioned in comments, water being collected at the bottom. I drilled 5-6 holes at the bottom before installation, it wasnt enough. I drilled two 1" holes and now it drys out.
