It works on air lesks

I think this stuff is terrific. After several attempts on my portable hot spa to stop a air leak, this stoped it immediately. It was leaking through a pipe thread to the air duct. I tried Teflon tape failing twice. I thought about using JBWeld which would have fixed it but creating such a hard weld it would damage it if I ever had to take it out again or off again. This works while staying soft like putty . I love this stuff. I didn’t believe it could stop that leak but it did. Thanks! Wow!!

This stuff works as it should.

This stuff worked as it should. I had tried the tape stuff and all three air joints leaked. I redid them with this stuff and no leaks.

Must have!

I'm a little old school in that I was always taught to use PFTE on the roll. BUT in some un-ideal situations like slightly out of round pipes, worn threads, or who else knows why, I would inevitably run in to a leaky connection on potable water connections. The most recent one was on a toilet shut off that was threaded to copper. I tried three times sealing with PFTE tape only to have it still leak. Removed the tape and this stuff fixed it right up! Highly recommend!

Too loose

Lots of oil in it and made it too loose. Also, it is not like paste. It has chunks in it. Really bad.

Smooth, easy to apply compound when plumbers tape isn't being used.

In the world of plumbers and pipe fitters around the globe, you'll find your advocates of tape and you'll find your champions of compound. Each have their pros and cons and their tips (like-if you need it to stay connected for ever, use compound, unless it's plastic). The point is, if you use compound, this is a great brand. It spreads on evenly and gives a neat and solid seal.This is the perfect size to just "have on hand" when Tape isn't your choice.

Stop the drips

Used on my pool heater to take the abuse of hot water and chemicals. Held up great all season and I would highly recommend this product if you have water connections in hot or abrasive areas.

oaties products are good

oatey makes good cements so tried it. other products for pvc pipes (primer/cement) are great too

Messy product

This product is messy. It did not work for me on water pipe threads. I applied it twice and it leaked. One valve held for some time and after a while started to leak as well.

Not for plastic threads!

I was disappointed to read on the label that it was not recommended for plastic threads. This was conspicuously absent in the product description.

Very useful stuff

This putty is always nice to have in my travel trailer as well as at home. There are aways strange connections in the travel trailer and this stuff always works and has never leaked. Also super useful when hooking up dissimilar materials when connecting a filtration system to an existing well water home system. Tape is great, you still need this occasionally!
