did the job
My 8hp tec needed a muffler and this muffler worked prefect...Tec has the same muffler but it cost a lot more and it does not work any better than the one I got from amazon.

Still a bit loud
Thought the old muffler was just old and failing, but this was about as loud. However no complaints as it mounted like the original and want louder.

Do your homework
The suggestion for the bolt was incorrect. The outside diameter of the bolt measure 3/8 inch. The inter diameter of the muffler measure 21/64. To simplify it 3/8 is equal to 24/64. There is no way the bolt can fit into the muffler. I headed to the local hardware store and picked up 5/16 -18 x 3 grade 8 work great. Also I used anti seize on the threads. It tough to drill out and tap and easy out don’t always work. The muffler works as expected. I like the third mounting point it help lining up I’ve center punch.

i was looking for a muffler upgrade which is what is pictured but this is just a factory replacement. im going to see if my stock 1987 muffler is rotted out if not this is going back and ill be getting the larger chambered muffler that fits on this motor.

No baffling
More like a resonator than a muffler. I sent it back

Muffler is great, bolts were NOT!
If you have the opportunity to purchase these bolts at the same time as this muffler, Tecumseh 650988 Pack of 2 Muffler Shoulder Bolt Screws $7.99, do NOT do it. The bolts sent to me were labeled as shown above, but they were too large and too short. Even though I had a prepaid shipping label, I got back less than I paid for them.

Perfect fit for my Tecumseh HM100 engine
Product matches OEM specs. Perfect fit for my Tecumseh HM100 engine. It is a little quieter than the OEM muffler (but this might be because I put a gasket behind it. Tecumseh originally didn't put a gasket on theirs.Shame on them.) This muffler is painted with high heat paint. (Guess the manufacturer improved the design, because some reviewers said their paint burned off).

It works and fits as expected but a muffler without heat resistant paint gets ugly quick why they don't paint it with heat paint is baffling

I didn't receive the muffler in the product description
I ordered the Oregon 35-015 muffler, I received a different muffler from another manufacturer that was in another add description at a lower price. The muffler did fit but I could have ordered the cheaper muffler if that was what I wanted.

Great Quality and fits the motor perfectly
The muffler was bought for my vintage snow blower. It fit perfectly and is a great silencer. Can wait for the snow.
