Great so far...

Ok here's the first review. Received my MEDIUM rain pants today and tried them on OVER MY BLUE JEANS AND BOOTS...the fit was right on ! And still had room to get to my hand gun if necessary while riding( Horses or Motorcycle ). I have a couple of the duster coats both long and short ones and these pants WILL be rolled up together and put on the back of my saddle as soon as im done with this review..Outback is the GO TO for protection against mother natures bad side. I use mine alot...I am 5'8" and weight 175 athletic build. HOWEVER !!! If you have some extra hanging over your belt, either go on a diet or get the Large size and hem them up a bit...I will do another review as soon as I have to put them on when mama nature gets angry...

I really like these pants but they have a seam running down the sides that allows some water to seep in. This is not a huge problem but if you plan on using these for riding your motorcycle in the rain, you will probably end up with at least some water getting through. They do not really feel like 12 oz material either, but I could be wrong on that. Despite these 2 comments, they have kept my legs very dry in some serious rains and winds.They are also very comfortable to walk in around town.

Water in the saddle soaks through the butt. But your legs stay dry until it runs off your butt and down your legs filling your boots.

Would not buy again

Keep you dry but not easy to use. You can’t get to your pockets

Some if the best rainpants ever

I have purchased several oilskin products over the last 20 years and love them. These pants are really nice for keeping your legs dry and being breathable they are really comfortable on those warmish rainy days. One bad thing is unlike rubber/plastic rain gear if you happen to sit on something wet the water will penetrate and you will get wet.

Shoddy craftmanship

The belt buckle ripped out the first time I pulled it tight. Had to repair with rivets in the field. No fun!
