I Was A Little Apprehensive

I freeze corn every fall and usually use an electric knife to take the kernels off the cobs. It is messy, and I inevitably end up getting too close and end up with little cob pieces in the pile. I tested these out on a couple of ears of corn and they seem to work well enough.

Very easy to use

If you want to take corn off the cob there is no easier way to do it than with this. My wife and daughter don't like eating corn on the cob. This thing takes it off in two seconds.

I’ll stick with just eating corn off the cob like I always have

I am a big fan of good grips products . I found this corn stripper to work pretty well because it’s sharp and a good product with great grips . That said next season I’ll be striping just a bit of corn for soups in the winter . I tried this tool on huge thick ears of corn with very deep kernels last august . The tool worked well but was not quite deep enough for this over sized corn I had. I’ll be using it again next year for fresh corn for winter soups. I think with some practice I could stop a dozen ears fairly quickly . It’s a good tool but don’t plan on stripping a huge harvest of fresh corn in the cob . It’s great for when you have leftover corn to strip and freeze though . I have a small hand and it worked well for keeping a grip . Possibly it could be a bit deeper for large kernels . I don’t know because this was the first time I ever tried to strip corn off a cob. The tool made it fairly easy and the blade stated firm and very sharp .

Have other Oxo products at home and quality is comparable. I didn't like the serrated blade (same as in my annoying Victorinox peeler) as a standard knife blade would have done the same job and have been easier to maintain. Corn is out of season here and I'll have to test it out next year. Product feels a bit tiny in the hand, but other reviews are positive. I'm not a big fan of corn on the cob and getting the kernels off without damaging them always foxed me. Hope this helps to do a better job. Product is priced more than its utility as usual. Let's hope it lasts.

El área de corte, el radio de curvatura y el arco de corte son muy pequeños. Es casi lo mismo de cortar los granos con cuchillo. Para mí no funcionó como esperaba!!!
