Simple and Practical for Wine Lovers

My wife and I enjoy wines often. We have always used hand openers until I finally got tired of fighting with stubborn corks. After looking at all that Amazon and E-Bay had to offer, I went to various specialty shops and department stores to visually compare the models offered. I was pleased to find the Ozeri Extravo model at a number of the stores. First thing noticed is that it is a definite addition to a wet bar or kitchen. It is distinctive and decorative without being domineering. Secondly, it is very simple to use. The base unit easily removed any necessary foil. One then places the unit over the cork while holding the extractors body and gently push down. Some reviews state that more pressure than thought was needed to remove a cork. I did not find this to be true. Once the cork is out push the button on the top and the cork is conveniently removed from the screw. The feature of a clear plastic lower half is also nice. It is entertaining to watch this wonder do its' work. Plus it is good advertising to visitors watching the ease of use of the opener. Of the stores I went to Amazon had the best price, just under $35.00. Some specialty shops asking twice that amount. E-Bays opening price was always less than $35.00, but also always went much higher by te time the auction was over. I choose this model because of it was the ONLY one with a five star rating. Others had complaints of cheaply made, failing motors, and just not meeting expectations. If I were to have a complaint it would be for the plastic casing where one can watch the cork being removed. I feel if it were dropped this casing could break. Other than that no negative issues from me. I highly recommend the Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener for all wine drinkers, no matter how often they enjoy it. This opener adds to the enjoyment by removing (pun intended) the only negative of drinking wine.

A sophisticated wine opener for Adults

II was sent this product to review, but all opinions are my own. This is defiantly a fancy wine opener. Let me just say I am glad I was able to catch up to modern times and leave my cold cork screw wine opener alone. I was so excited to open this and give it a try. I have to say this is something to have out if you re having a gathering, it makes you feel like the sophisticated adults we are supposed to be lol. I like the stainless steel design and the fact that all I have to do is put it on my wine bottle and press down and then press the button to release. Voila that simple , yes it real is that simple. I did put it on the charger after a few uses to test it and the charging blue light is also a bonus just to let you know that the charge feature is working. Most things I can find a con in but for this one I can't. the packaging it came in was nice and secure also with a carton to keep it in place. I would recommend this to a friend and to anyone else deciding if they want to purchase because it sleek and it feels heavy duty to me and you don't have to force the cork out of the wine. I love the added accessories which were a foil opener and a spout to round out the wine drinking and opening experience,

Simple and Easy to Use - Great Customer Support from Manufacturer

This wine opener makes it so easy to open a bottle of wine. Once it is fully charged, it can open many bottles before needing to be recharged. It is simple to operate—just place the corkscrew over the bottle and hold the bottle firmly as you press the opener down (but don’t press the button on the top in this step). Once the cork is out, press the button at the top of the opener to remove the cork from the opener. Unfortunately I lost the charger/cord shortly after purchasing the opener, so I emailed the company using the company contact link in my order details. I was very pleasantly surprised to get a prompt response from customer support after 8 pm on a Saturday! I was able to order a replacement charger/cord for the cost of shipping, which was very reasonable. I highly recommend this product and the Ozeri company.

screws are in backwards so does not work, Ordered 6 needs authority to return or replace two so far.

I had this product before. It was great. I ordered 6 as gifts and so far two have been returned to me. Cork screw in backwards so does not open bottles. Please send authorization to return. Either send two as replacement or give me a credit. I have not heard from the other two people who I gave as gifts. Please advise. Thank you Marcia Lurie

An absolutely delightful product, that has stood the test of time, and much use!!!

I've ordered several of these as gifts, after falling in love with the first one we bought for personal use. I must say here, that in ordering several more, we encountered 1 or 2 duds, but I still have to give a 5 start rating: First, because it is an absolutely delightful product when you get a good one, and we have used ours extensively for years without issue. Secondly, because the company is actually concerned with your satisfaction, they will make any issue right, in order to achieve it. They even went as far as replacing an a/c adapter that went bad, long after any obligation to do so had passed. This is our "go-to" wine opener, and has held up quite nicely over the years (my wife is Italian, and we have wine at every meal... if that gives you any indication of the amount of use ours gets)! Great product, great people to work with, you won't regret getting one!

Best cork remover ever!!!

I bought this wine opener because it was the only one with 5 stars and now I know why. The cork screw is a substantial size and the design is so that you can see when the cork has been pierced and when it is completely out of the bottle. You don't have to push the button to engage it...only need a little pressure on the bottle but you do push the top of the wine opener to expel the cork. It sits in a large foil cutter as it's base and that cutter works great and is nice because it is large enough to get a good grip on. The stainless steel housing is pleasing and I have been using it for a month on the first charge so when they say it will open 60 bottles on a single charge I believe it. This is the BEST wine opener I have ever owned. Buy it!! You won't be sorry. And as usual, the Amazon experience was great.

Perfect if you are recovering from an injury!

I bought this when I broke arm and was concerned I would not be able to open wine bottles throughout my recovery. Fear no more, this works perfectly! My arm is long healed now but I still use it! I have had no issues whatsoever with the charger as other people mentioned. I rarely charge it but the battery lasts a long time and everything works just fine. The blue light really looks neat.
