Another tool that is handy for this particular job

I'm spending a lot this month buying parts and tools for a Timing Chain job on my 2007 Ford F-150. My pickup has a 5.4L 3V engine that is known for Timing system problems related to low oil pressure. This will be a full rebuild using a Ford OEM parts kit here on Amazon. Ref: "FordTechMakuloco". This guy has a step by step set of videos that will help even us backyard mechanics to get this job done. He has a list of the needed tools and parts too. I'm well into this project now and am SOOOO GLAD that I followed his advice. I replaced the weak oil pump with a high volume pump from Melling and also pulled the oil pan to clear out old bits and pices of the plastic timing guides. This was a bit of a challenge as my 4X4 needed a front axle drop to get the pan out. As with the other videos, it became a dirty but smooth task. You can't go wrong following this guys advice, he has a first class operation.

Not a commonly used size but needed it for something I was working on

I have an extensive tool collection so imagine my surprise when I recently needed a deep 20mm impact socket only to find that this was the one size I was missing. Most socket sets sold these days always seem to skip a few sizes like 16mm, 18mm and apparently 20mm as well. None of these sizes is commonly used so I can understand this but when you need one you need it now. I ordered this off Amazon as it was priced competitively, and I didn't have to drive to a local store in an attempt to find one. Best of all, it was delivered to my house the next day. The socket worked as expected and I don't see any major differences between it and the others I already have.

Nice socket

Purchased this to replace a 20mm I lost from a MAXIMUM impact socket kit. This is a nice piece. Nothing more to say. It holds up to all the other standard impact sockets. The socket side as well as the 1/2 driver side both are well machined and fits exactly as expected. Good pickup if this is something you need.
