WILL NEVER GO BACK
Philips Hue light bulbs are like having a personal sunrise simulator in your home. They're so bright and cheerful, they make me feel like I'm waking up on a tropical island instead of in my dingy apartment. And if I ever need to set the mood for a romantic evening, I just dim those bad boys down low and boom! Instant ambience. My only complaint is that they're not great for taking selfies, but I guess you can't have everything. Here’s what changed my life though. I haven’t touched my light switch SINCE buying these bad boys. Dear golly you hook these lights up on your phone and a Apple HomePod your house turns to heaven. “Hey siri turn on lights” BOOM, let there be light.. “hey siri turn off light” BOOM your back in the dark ages. “Hey siri turn the lights red at 20%” BOOM bring out the rose pedals and champagne. If you got the dough the make your whole house full of these you can separate the lights into rooms. So “siri turn on kitchen lights/ porch lights/ bedroom lights/ have a disco party in the bathroom.” Whatever you need. hate getting in/out of bed and messing with the lights? Have Siri do it. You ever walk outside your house or apartment to see you left the lights on? Scroll down on your phone and Tap the lights and BOOM theyre off. No need to go back inside or waste energy. Absolutely game changing I will NEVER go back to normal lights TLDR: Game-changing, sunrise simulator, surprisingly insanely convenient, incredibly smart, extremely customizable with their app, WORTH the money. The conscience it has brought has been so worth. Also got my first pair of bulbs in 2017 and they STILL work to this day. GET THE PHILIPS HUE HUB TO MAXIMIZE BULBS

Great fast-response lights for general lighting or special effects
When I initially got into smart lights I would stick to "knock off" brands that can work with the Lumia software (for streamers, but I mostly use it for the house) but those just dd't have a quick enough response time. When Halloween came around I decided to add a Hue kit with a hub in my arsenal, and I further beefed up my lineup with four more bulbs in this order. Finally I have been able to sequence lightning strikes with sound effects, sudden rapid color changes and a whole set of fun effects. When not being used for effects, these lights illuminate my porch with a realistic yet not too distracting flame effect. I've also delved into the Phillips Hue Sync app, which can sync the lights with contents on a screen, which has greatly helped in adding a "jazzy" touch to my gaming content. I am truly pleased with these despite their steeper price.

Philips makes the best smart bulbs. Here’s how to reset the bulb.
After experimenting with several brands, I like Philips hue the best. Most of these bulbs have a reset sequence where you turn it on and off, but the problem I found with other brands is that after a thunderstorm, it will often reset the bulbs and you have to reprogram them. Also, other brands require a hub and/or app, which makes it impossible for a newbie. Also, the Philips hue are easy to reset, like if you change your network name. In the Alexa app, you just select the Philips light. In the upper-right hand corner is a help icon. That icon takes you to a page where you can enter the 6-character hex code, which is next to the QR code on the bulb.

i bought a hue starter kit a long time ago and i'm locked in
These are just additional bulbs for my ever-growing hue family. I've been converting a few lightbulbs every year and adding additional smart home devices once i iron out the weirdness of anything i've previously installed. these lights do really well, all considering. they have a true representation of the color being displayed, change quickly, and only seldom glitch out and turn themselves back on right after being switched off. I've read this is likely a software issue and i'm hopeful they release a more stable firmware for them.

I tried the cheap bulb route and returned them for these, it was worth it
Having returned a set of bulbs that did not measure up to the brightness or color accuracy of the Phillips Hue bulbs I decided to pull the trigger on these, in part because when I do video work it is nice to be able to fiddle with color. I use these in concert with Elgato Stream Deck units and can change color at the touch of a button or by voice command depending on the need. There are other brands out there but these integrate with the Elgato ecosystem nicely.

Love the sunrise/sunset function!
I was looking into buying a sunrise alarm clock. Turns out the best brand is probably the same as these bulbs (Philips). However they’re not a cheap investment and honestly I don’t even want alarm sounds, just the light. I spent more time than I’d like to admit trying to figure out whether those clocks would have only the light function and no sound for alarms. Or DIY alternatives. As far as I can tell, the cheapest alarm clock models or no name brands don’t offer the light only alarm function. And no thanks I’m not DIYing anything like that. Then I stumbled on these lightbulbs as an alternative and I am SO glad I did not buy a sunrise clock!!! The Philips Hue App can set sunrise/sunset for your light bulb, and it can also be integrated with google. I bought this bulb “Used-Like New” so it was discounted and it still works perfectly. No regrets. In fact, I want more bulbs!!! A single bulb isn’t as bright as I’d like when I want it bright but I think multiple lamps would help. If you want happy/relaxing alarm sounds then you might actually want to invest in the nice sunrise alarm clocks.

100W replacements are just what we needed for a dark living room
We were early adopters, and those original lights were 50 or 70 watt replacements. We absolutely love them. We've been using them for years with Siri and Alexa, and they work wonderfully. Our living room was still a bit dim, so when we saw 100 watt replacements, we jumped on them and bought 8 bulbs. Seems like it is expensive, but these things have seriously lasted years without any hiccup at all. It was easy to replace the bulbs we had - my wife would turn lights she had synced green to keep up with which ones she'd already done, so in a few minutes after installing them we were up and running like normal. The other bulbs are being dispersed around the house to sockets that didn't have these hue bulbs so now our whole house is covered. Our living room is much brighter now, and we can set mood lighting for movies and watching TV. Great product, the 100 watt replacement is a very welcomed upgrade.

Easy to set up and work well.
I got roped into the Hue ecosystem a few years back. I was always turned off by the high pricing. I started off with a couple of light bars and a Hue Bloom. The rest is history... I'm now drinking the Philips Hue kool-aid. I now have 4 light bars, 2 Hue Blooms, a Gradient Light strip for a 65" TV, a Hue Sync Box, 3 Hue Lily outdoor lights and 6 A19 smart light bulbs. This review is for the 3 pack of A19 lights only. The good: The lights are easy to set and are reliable. It's easy to create scenes and the lights look nice. The bad or so-so: I now never buy any of the lights for full price. Between Philips website and Amazon and Best Buy, if you keep looking and are patient you can often save up to 25% off retail. That's the time to buy. The A19 lights are plenty bright on white or shades of white. The brightness when using deep colors is mediocre at best. I wish they were brighter when using colors. Again, if you can get these on sale you'll feel better about your purchase. These are addictive.

I own 15 of these lights. I love them. Any color is possible and they work well with google home.

Quality lights with superior colours and range
These are extremely easy to install. You will need a hue bridge which may seem like a bummer but it will ensure that your lights do not slow down your internet. The lights themselves are 5x the price of other bulbs but you are also getting 5x the value. The colours flood and pop more than other bulbs and the range of colours is much broader. The hue app works great and you can even download a program for your computer that syncs your lights to media playing on your pc (gaming and movies). Overall, they are expensive but well worth it. I highly recommend.

Bulbs work, integration with Google sucks
The bulbs work nicely and easily controlled from the Hue app. When it comes to connecting and staying connected to Google Home, it's been a bit of a nightmare. It took forever to get connection to work and different bulbs fall in and out of connection with Google daily. I think the issue is more with Google than with Phillips but if you're buying a product that's supposed to work with Google, you sort of expect it to do so.

Highly Recommend!
I have Echo dots in a few rooms, and I've tried off brand bulbs which have failed. These are easy to install straight from the Alexa app (I do not have any other Phillips hue devices/connectors). These bulbs connect easily to WiFi and I've had my original Phillips bulbs for over a year with no problems (no disconnections), so I splurged and bought the colored pack for my kitchen. I've also sent these as housewarming gifts to family. I will continue to purchase this brand of bulbs in the future. Highly recommend.
