Top Of The Line Pads

Considering that these pads are manufactured by Johnson & Johnson, the 150-year-old Fortune 500 corporation whose standard for excellence in the pharmaceutical industry is well established and that J&J is also the company that makes Tylenol, Neutrogena, and the industry-leading line of Johnson's Baby products, it will come as no shock that these gauze pads are a bit more expensive than their nearest competitors. But what you give up in cost is offset by the effectiveness and versatility of Johnson's Band-Aid brand pads, gauze wrappings, and wound cleansers. For someone like me, who suffers from chronic--albeit relatively minor--leg problems from post-surgical breakdowns in areas where skin grafts were used to address the sites where various titanium pins, screws, plates, etc., were used to repair my severely damaged legs following a devastating auto accident, the slightly higher cost of a top of the line medicinal product used to maintain healthy skin is an issue I barely consider--and that is saying something since I am an older guy living on a fixed income where every penny counts and is accounted for. These super-absorbant pads are perfect for applying wound wash to potentially infectible open wounds. And they are equally effective when used to secure silver calcium anti-infection pads to the affected areas. In the years that have passed since the accident occurred, I have tried virtually every possible brand of medical pad, tape, binding, and cleanser, but I always return to the most reliable Band-Aid brand and absorb the modest price increase in exchange for peace of mind. Five Stars.

Not what I expected

I like the size and the absorbency, but they are not non-stick. Although the "headline" says non-stick nothing on the box says non-stick and they do stick onto any open wound or cut.

Not non-stick

These are nice gauze pads but they are NOT non-stick as described, which is why I chose them, and didn’t realize until I opened one.

Great for wound cleaning

Using a washcloth is too bulky for wound cleaning and most gauze types are too thin. This one was perfect to suds up with bar soap and get to wound cleaning. They are individually wrapped and provide enough bulk to hold soap or water during the cleansing process.

False Advertisement

Product is not non stick!

I have bought many boxes from Amazon to Fred Meyers I used them for the middle of the mask.
