These are a great value, you can't beat 'em!!

The old saying is- "Fast, Cheap & Good...You only get to pick 2" With these I really got all three. I found 2 beautiful lamps, laying in the street & gave them a new home. The existing sockets were 3-Way and kinda iffy. I just wanted On/Off so I ordered these and they came really fast, thanks to Amazon. These sockets are very nice, quality wise. Nice Screw-In Terminals, a good switch and very nice looking golden housing. I was surprised at how nice these were, given the low price. It's great how they were packaged. What I mean is, the base and cylinder of the sockets were assembled, but not pushed-in all the way, so I didn't have to struggle to take them apart for use. I thought that was extremely considerate because, they're not super easy to take apart...usually you have to squeeze the sides with channel locks to get them free and that can scratch/deform the housing, so the finished product won't look its best. The replacements went perfectly and I've ordered Black Rectangular Shades with the Gold lining. The lamps are large Asian Jar type with Satsuma-Style decoration that has a lot of gold in it. I can't wait to see how the Shades look. I might even get some Finials, which is a fun rabbit hole to go down here on Amazon for sure, LOL.

Quick repair for Tiffany style lamp

Just be aware the base stem, where it attaches to the lamp is threaded/screw on type not set -screw type. I was able to use the old bottom piece and new top piece with the switching and wiring part. Mine is an old antique lamp yours may be too...just use the old bottom piece if you just need to replace the switch itself.

Easy to install and super easy to use. Those with weak fingers will have no problem turning lights with this switch on or off.

Works as intended and described. Installation is easy

First, it fits the typical lamp fitting / threads (US SAE threads). I only found this brass color in a push/push socket (instead of a pull chain). I used the inside of the new one, but the outside cover of the old silver color one. That outside housing is a little thinner than the old one; noticeable, but of limited consequence. The switch itself is solid, and no visible sparks (arcing). These things used to be really low price and common. I guess they are lower volume today, as they are difficult to find and now cost several dollars in the retail realm. So I liked just simply the fact that this was even available. Screws for terminals are normal size to fit typical lamp wire gauges. If you have a lamp that fits your decor or that you really love or value, its nice to be able repair if and when needed, rather than have to replace the whole lamp. And seriously, new lamps are made so cheaply today; or if you opt for some reasonable level of quality, they are wildly overpriced. Just ridiculously overpriced. So I was really glad to be able to save my existing lamp.

Great replacement! Smooth chain function

Happy with these replacement’s. Installation took less than 5 minutes total and all worked as hoped for. The pull chain mechanism is smooth and works great.
