Good purchase for my mechanic husband

My husband uses these daily and these are the only shop towels he buys. They hold up very well considering how much use and washing they go thru. Good purchase for mechanics

Must be washed first

Great value for the money and a must-have for vehicle maintenance. One order of these rags lasts 3 years since I only have 2 vehicles to change oil, differentials, grease zircs, etc. However, they MUST be washed first. They come with a waxy film on them and are not absorbent whatsoever out of the bag. After you wash them, they are awesome. There will be tons of lint in the dryer and plenty to fold, but it's worth the effort.

Wash SEPARATELY

The red cloths have been super useful around the kitchen. They seem durable and they're tough enough to use for cleaning. Four stars because they bleed like crazy in the wash. We washed all of them immediately in hot water when we bought them, but they still bleed into other fabrics if you accidentally leave one in the washing machine with other clothes or rags. Which we've done twice, somehow. I would still repurchase them for this price and quantity; just pay close attention when you're washing them.

Great Red Rag

These are amazing red rags. Wash them a couple times and keep them separated from your other laundry.

Very handy, nice for quick spills or greasy grabs!

Great to have around the house / shop. Use them for everything. Not very moisture absorbent and they will color all the rest of your clothes pink if one happens to end up in the wash, so take care....

Definitely a garage essential

Same ones you can get from harbor freight. These things are awesome and work much better than those bags of T-shirt rags you can buy. These are cotton and remove oil and gunk from your hands much better. They’re just like the good ol’ fashion rags I used as a mechanic.

Poor Quality

I would rather write no review when I’m unhappy with my purchase but in this case I can’t do that. I washed these and the dye bled and ruined a dish towel and wash cloth. They shrunk to half the size they were. At best they’re disposable after use.

Great for hand rags.

They are not absorbent at all, and the red bleeds from them a long time. They've had a couple hot washes now and will still die something in the washer with them. Best suited for a shop, keep it out of the house.

Very thin

I find these very thin and not absorbent at all use them when working on cars. I will try different ones next time.

Red dye runs into everything

The red dye of the cloths run even after being washed. Do NOT wash with other towels, cloths or clothes. The red dye will ruin everything.

Reasonable

Reasonable cost. Use them for golf, better than microfibre for wiping sweat.
