All Copper

Here is the polished copper Progress 10" lamp right out of the box. I have included four pictures of it. The underside of the shade is painted white, probably to insure an untarnished reflection of the light bulb's illumination. The three screws surrounding the socket can be removed and the shade comes off the lamp body. I touched a magnet to every part of the lamp trying to detect ferrous metal. These three screws and all the socket parts are non-ferrous (and non-rusting) and so is every other part of the lamp. With the shade removed you can see the edge of the metal on the cylindrical body of the lamp. I was able to measure the thickness of it there. It is 0.031 inches, about 22 gauge for sheet copper or a little less than 1 mm. This is quite adequate for strength and stability. With the shade off I could see the edge of the metal at the center hole that fits around the socket. The white paint had covered the edge. So I sanded it very lightly with fine sandpaper to remove the paint on one section of just the edge. The bare metal there is copper colored with no layering. I conclude that all of the lamp is solid copper material (not copper plated). In the last picture you can see a blemish in the finish directly above the small screw hole on the right. I take this to be evidence that the lamp was lacquered to help protect its shiny finish. All in all, it’s a beautiful product.

Rusted and looks like garbage. Seller won’t accommodate anything.

The company does not stand by their product. The copper is gross and chipped and looks like garbage. Seller won’t replace the defective fixtures despite pictures because it was sold via Amazon. Don’t buy. You have no recourse once they look awful. You just have to pay an electrician again and buy something from Rejuvenation where they stand by their products.

Can't beat the quality & value of Progess lighting fixtures ...

Progress Lighting Company is tough to beat both for value and quality. We're using them as coach lights on either side of our garage for the new home we're building. We couldn't be more pleased. Oh ... and it should come as NO surprise that we speced Progress lighting fixtures throughout our new home as well.

Copper wall lantern

These copper wall lanterns are really beautiful and give off lots of light. I really, really like them and they add a great look in our bathrooms. I have 3 this size and one smaller one. Smaller one is good for small powder room. To small for larger bathroom. If you are looking for something different, this is it.

Porch Light

Light fixture has great decorative appeal, but is overly pricey. Shopped around, but could not find a better price for this light.
