Very large pretty 5 quart dutch oven!

I ordered a "like new" product for less than half and I can't even tell it isn't brand new. Packaged in original packaging--package very securely. I couldn't decide on size, but I think 5 quarts will be just fine, it's larger than expected. Of course it's heavy, but it's supposed to be. I recommend keeping the styrofoam for storing in your cupboards if you have room. I'm hoping that will help it stay nice for a lot longer. The only drawback is that it wants to slide off my electric coils. I plan to only use it on a back burner instead of a front burner because I'm afraid of it falling onto the floor. I think that's just an issue with the type of stove that I have though-no fault of the product, but something to consider or be mindful of when ordering. LOL--I would've preferred teal over red, but the "like new" was so much more affordable! The red is still very beautiful! Pictures don't do it justice in regards to the large size. I think you could cook a small pizza in the bottom!

Great pot but very heavy

The pot cooks very well but very heavy. I know cast iron is heavy and I should have been prepared but I tend to use my Hex clad pot more - same great cooking but not so heavy.

Great pot, cooks great and cleans up fast.

Great pot for making soups and one pot dinners in the oven. Only downfall is its heavy so hard on hands & wrists washing it.

THIS POT HAS IT ALL

A very good dutch oven. It’s beautifully designed, cooks well, it’s hefty but not too heavy and it’s perfectly sized. When I was looking for a replacement for my 30-year-old warped aluminum dutch oven, most were either too big for a household of 2, too heavy, too expensive or too narrow at the bottom to accommodate a standard-sized pot roast (about 8.5 inches). For me, what’s the point of a medium-sized dutch oven if a pot roast won’t fit in? This pot (mine is red) has it all. Only one thing I would change: The lid knob could be taller so it could be gripped more easily when using a potholder. The lid is so efficient at keeping in moisture, that you might want to keep it slightly ajar toward the end of cooking time to allow flavors to concentrate.
