The Rayban Outdoorsman are the sunglasses to get

Hi. I'm an American expat writer living in Thailand where most Westerners drive motorcycles day in and day out and it's so warm that one can swim everyday of the year. In Thailand we can get Rayban copies for $3.50 a pair at most of the local markets. But it's a matter of life and death here in the Land of Smiles driving a motorbike looking for the next story or character and these Chinese made Rayban knockoffs don't cut it even if they look cool and have Rayban inscribed into their lenses. These either have plastic lenses that scratch easily or they are made of glass that breaks the first time they fall to the ground. The little screws holding the temples on the Chinese look a likes are also prone to coming out and then you must throw the cheap copies away. I've never had a lens on a pair of genuine Rayban Aviators or outdoorsman break. The screws in a pair of Outdoorsman or Aviators are meant to be replaced while the general construction of these sunglasses allows them to take a lot of abuse. But a real pair of Outdoorman-at $100 a pair costs nearly 30 times as much as the copies so it doesn't make sense to spend this much even if it's the real deal, does it? Wrong. Most people who drive motorbikes here sooner or later have at least one serious accident so the single most important advantage to paying so much more is that you really do see a lot better through them. And that translates into greater longevity. I don't know what Rayban does but I think they coat the lenses and this causes the image to be significantly sharper and to have much better contrast. This is extremely important when you are driving a motorbike, especially when the people all around you drive as insanely as they do here. What also separates the Outsdoorman from so many sunglasses, and this includes many Aviator models as well, are the cable temples that go around your ears. These glasses will stay on and that makes a huge difference when you are driving a motorbike, snow skiing or participating in other activities that can easily cause a pair of sunglasses to slip off.Welcome to the Fun House

Awsome i like it. But issu in size.on my face this 58mm size look too small. I want 62mm big size. But product quality and performance good. Just size issu. Rayban think about size. Not accuracy in size always. Other brand mantain size... Thatsway 4/5... Otherwise Goggel awsome...

this glasses are so cool. the way they're built means you won't loose them too easily as they stick to your head quality is TOP word of advice: when you first wear them you will have sore ears, because of the shape of the stems. just work them gently with your fingers to make them a bit less curved, and after a while they'll be comfortable.

Stay fixed over your eyes, where they should be

Ray-Bans are a top brand (brands in themselves are not my style) and not necessarily the absolute best (not polarised for example) but they have been proven over decades by people with a stronger need than I. Always liked Aviator shaped lenses and been looking for temples with sprung ends that hook round the ears - like these Outdoorsman - so they stay on my face all ways up. Also have enough strength to go in and out of pockets etc repeatedly without snapping over the bridge. That is why I bought these. If anyone, even Ray-Ban, ever make Outdoorsman in blue or polarised lenses with hooks round the ears then I'll buy those too.
