Good sandal for the price.

Reef is a good, known product and this sandal didn't disappoint. I usually wear a size 11-12, depending upon the maker of the shoe. I purchased these in a size 11 and they are a bit too small, though wearable. I would recommend going to the larger size of your shoe size range. Well made and comfortable!

Nice Genuine Leather Runs Small

I was excited when these flip flops arrived. My first real genuine leather flip flops. I didn’t know what to expect but knew they would be special. I was disappointed to find that they were small on me and I have a small foot. I returned them for one size larger than I normally wear and now they fit perfectly. Pros: Genuine Leather. They look and smell like real leather. They look classy and with time I can see them getting a real nice patina. The price is also a fraction of what you pay in stores for fake leather flip flops. Also returning them for a larger size was super easy. And the replacement came within two days. Cons: for me they ran one and a half size too small and narrow. I use a half size so I ordered the next highest. They were still too small, felt tight and my heel hung over the edge. I returned them for a size larger and they fit perfectly now. So if you use a half size like 8.5 order a 10. They are slick on the inside and my feet feel like they are sliding inside them when I step down. I have to find a way to get the shiny leather worn down so they are not as slippery. Conclusion: I think these flip flops were a great purchase. I can’t imagine getting this quality leather flip flops in the stores at this price. The cons are not enough to detract from the pros of buying them. It was a great investment in my opinion. I will see how they wear and decide later if I want to get their more expensive leather waterproof flip flops. I recommend these to anyone looking for genuine leather flip flops. Update: I used a very fine sand paper and gently sanded down the leather. Now they are not so slick and my feet do not slide in them. I still need to sand them a bit more. But I am wearing them and no problems with them so far.

Nice sandals. Darker than pictured

The sandals are nice and offer moderate comfort. The bronze brown color is darker than the picture. It’s more of a dark beige / caramel color. Also I’m not sure how these will hold up. By checking other peoples photos I see lots of scratches so we will see. Unlike other Reef models these slides are on the heavier side and they don’t offer a lot of comfort. The straps are hard and I feel like if I walked more than 5 minutes on these my feet would hurt. I’m returning them. Just a note: similar to other reef slides these run small so make sure you go half to a full size up.

Best Most Comfortable Sandal on the Market. Period.

I've worn Ranbow, Scott, Flojo, OluKai, etc., and the only ones that come to a close second are Rip Curl. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TOE WEBBING. Is this going to chafe when wet? sandy? dried out? or generally over time? Look to these Reefs; the toe webbing is the softest. Period. They dont wear out the softness either, they remain comfortable long after the tread has worn out. In conclusion, they are heaven-sent and will bless your feeties with the power of a hiking boot and the comfortability of an Ugg in the form of a beach sandal. 10/5 I will be buying these till I die.

Nice slipper for everyday use.

I like the leather top side of the slipper, its lightness & flatness. I was planning to buy a size 9, but for some reason their price suddenly changed from $42 to $60, but the next smaller size was still $42, so rather than buy a 9, I bought the size 8.

Looks good; Tears up your feet

I bought these to bring on vacation. Having no other footwear suitable for a subtropical climate I was forced to wear these torture devices day after day. The result was scabs on the top of both of my feet. And the issue seems to be that the straps are constructed in a way that the strap scrapes on your feet every time you take a step. It’s no big deal if you only have to wear them for a couple minutes but if you’re wearing them for hours and hours you get raw and bleed.

Great flipflops but get the size right

This is the second pair of Reef leather flipflops I've had. They are great, comfortable and they look great once you've wore them in and got them a bit wet. My only caution is sizing. Technically I'm a UK 6.5, the suggested size on Amazon is UK 7 which is Reef size 8. I find that I can't get my foot in properly, but a Reef size 9 (Amazon UK8) is perfect. It might be just my feet (!?) but you may need to order 2 sizes just to be sure.

Nice sandals that run a little bit small.

These sandals are nice enough and I think the quality is decent, unlike some other reviewers. I ordered a U.K. 10 and they come up a little small for me. I can still wear them and they are not uncomfortable, but my heel tends to drift to the edge which suggests they are not the correct fit. They do fit my son perfectly, who is a size 8. Other reviewers have suggested ordering one size up and I would agree.

The best

I've had several pairs of these and will keep on buying them as long as they make them! They generally last me 2 summers. Note they are marked in US sizes. The fit is correct but snug by flip-flop standards. If they feel slightly tight, don't worry, the toe strap loosens up after a few hours use. Personally I like that they are the size of my foot, as many men's flip-flops and sandals have a lot of excess sticking out and are a tripping hazard! I have never had reason to question the authenticity but I've always bought from reputable suppliers. The main features of the genuine article are a real rubber sole, which is non-marking and very hard wearing, and a real leather footbed, which has the advantage of not making annoying squeaking noises when damp. If you are not used to wearing flip-flops and go for a long walk in them you will soon be in agony - but that's true of all of them. Wear them around the house first and start slow!
