Solid clay pomade

Very nice product! The scent is very subtle, and very interesting. Like a vanilla mint candy. Haha I really like it. It goes away soon after application. This gives great body, texture, and lift. It's a natural matte finish. I apply it in dry hair for maximum control & matte texture. It's very lightweight in the hair, keep the volume up for a very long time. The hold is a nice medium firm to firm hold. You can layer it in, little by little. A pea size will give you a nice medium to medium-firm hold, and if you layer in another pea size amount, you'll then increase the hold to a nice firm hold. But the hair will always remain looking and feeling natural. It'll never get greasy. Very forgiving product. Holds very well but also, allows movement. It is extremely easy to style with this product. Very responsive. You get a super natural hairstyle with loads of volume and it also thickens your hair. Really nice product if you want a natural looking style, or also, a bedhead - disheveled type hairstyle. You can also blow-dry this into damp hair. You'll get a nice fluffy style, and you can finish it off by adding a little pea size to accentuate the texture, and the control. Overall, a really user-friendly, nice and versatile product.

Good stuff

I love Reuzel products. I bought the small tin for travel and it works well. The small tin is pretty expensive for the volume, but fits much better in my travel bag than the large tin. Once the small tin is used up, I'll simply scrape some from the daily use large tin and refill the small one for travel.

Most natural looking hair product I’ve tried

I have used a ton of different gels, foams, pastes and pomades. I just want hold and body without a wet, unnatural look. This is perfect. And it even smells amazing.

Great product!

doesn't really hold your hair unless you use so much it becomes solid

I bought this for my beard, somebody recommended it… I wouldn't be recommending it again myself for this purpose. It has a nice smell, mostly vanilla, not really my kind of thing but totally un-offensive and I definitely stand it (unlike some others which I definitely can't). leaves a nice matte finish which I like, who wants to look like they've been dipped in an oil pot? Certainly not me… However, there is a distinct drawback with this product for me. The real problem comes with the fact that my beard is about 5 or 6 inch long, I wanted to style it so it just stayed in place and looks neat, I don't want to do anything exotic with it and I don't want it to look like a unicorn horn sticking out of my chin or anything… This pretty much did not achieve that aim. It held for an hour or so and then I ended up looking like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards and had to resort to tying it up. Maybe it's okay for Hair on your head… Don't know because I haven't tried it, but it's definitely not the one if you need a product to keep a long beard Nicely sculpted and neat.

I've yet to find anything better.

To be honest, I don't understand bad reviews of this product. Each to their own, but I have tried and tested way more hair products than most guys would admit to and to date I've yet to find a better pomade than Reuzel. I only found out about it from my barber, as its literally the only pomade they use and I totally understand why. Personally I quite like the smell. I get hints of mint/chocolate mint, but I'm no perfumer so don't quote me on that. In terms of hold, this stuff out lasts any other product I have ever used. I've tried a few from the Reuzel range and hold throughout is outstanding. I can happily wander in the rain and feel comfortable that my style isn't going to be out of shape or flat when using Reuzel. I can only assume that the people who find it is hard to wash out etc, have maybe over applied or put one thick layer on. I find that it works well by gradually applying thinner layers. By doing that it holds shape better and has a more natural look.

It's the business!

I'm a big fan of the reuzel products they are top quality & always have a wonderful scent, the pink being one of my favourites for an oil pomade but I won't use an oil pomade every day, but this clay pomade it the best product I've used so far it's easy to apply it gives loads of volume & a strong flexible hold & I mean strong & flexible like nothing else I've tried, you really can re style throughout the day without losing hold this really is impressive, it has a mat finish & it's very easy to shampoo out, I mustn't forget to mention the scent it's a chocolate mint very much like the smell of an after 8 chocolate. For me this is my new go to everyday product, it's the business!

Loving every bit of it !

Having really thick hair and being always in need of a perfect structure and hold, I've tried tons of products and brands over the years : clays, waxes, mousses, pomade, styling creams... this Reuzel Clay Matte Pomade has to be one of the top, if not the best styling product i've ever used. It shapes even the thickest, most stubborn hair in the exact way you like. I still finish with a spritz of hair spray to keep everything in place and i end up getting the perfect result. By the end of the day, your hair is touchable, yet still in place with a very natural, matt effect. Next day restyling with a little extra product is an easy option with this clay, which is great for those of us who want to avoid washing hair everyday. Next best thing is the fragrance, slightly retro mix - has the freshness of spearmint with a subtle hint of vanilla. Very distinct from other products on the market. Quite addictive, really !

Poor seal means almost unusable

When I received this, the tin wasn't sealed correctly. Because of this, the clay has all dried up and is pretty much unusable. Be weary.
