Ease and consistency

Needed a new crimper after my old one started to miss pins. Thought I'd give the passthrough crimpers a go. They work really well, less trimming and more consistent terminations since you can push the pairs in to the depth you want. Only thing I wish it had is a standard crimp for those times you run out of the passthrough ends or are in a pinch and only have regular rj45 connectors. You can sort of crimp the non-passthroughs, but you have to really finesse it. The cable tester is nothing fancy, but it works as you'd expect. Better to have one than none at all.

Vital tool for making ethernet cable!

I have made hundreds of ethernet cables and it is a hit or miss most of the time, but with this little device, it takes the guess work out, every cable made with this will work right and you don’t waste materials or time.

Easy to use.

Pass through is genius on modular plug

Great idea on pass thru idea for plugs so outer layer is tight to connector.

Video of product shows the wrong crimper/cutter

Note that the video shows the nicer crimper with cutter for outer insulation jacket. This kit only includes the basic model with no outer cutter/stripper which was not good for me. Returned for the full crimper/cutter tool.

Works perfectly, comes with ethernet crimper in case you're a masochist.

If you're shopping for one of these you know what your looking for. This does it just what it says and comes with a crimper if you're looking to ruin your weekend.

Disappointed

I love Klein tools but this kit was a total disappointment, especially for the money. I think it was used before because there are some marks and a hair in the tool and the battery for the tester was 6.5v so i need to get a battery to see if the tester works or not.

Great cable crimper

Top quality crimper. This will last me a lifetime. I had a cheaper piece of junk rj45 crimper. That was a waste of time and was frustrating. This Klein makes short work once you have your wires setup correctly. There is a sticker on the crimper for that A or B wiring options.

Didn't work

Sorry really wanted to like this but tried 4 ends and every time at least 4 of wires did not make good contact. Returned and went back to the old fashioned method

No sabia como "Crimpear" RJ45 y con esto logre ahorra el costo del proveedor

El Sistema pass through es muy eficiente para que de queden bien los conectores instalados, pero con esta herramienta + conecto + tester Klein es casi garantía que salen bien y a la primera. en mi caso sin saber nada después de 5 practicas, ya me salen a al primera. Ya no necesite contratar a un proveedor.
