keeps pets in kitchen

we just mowed and found ourselves with two entrances to the kitchen. Family will visit and bring pets. Now the pets can stay on easy to clean flooring while we are out. We didn't want the pets on the carpeting. Gate install well and the animals don't mind them at all.

Great Gate

So I love this gate BUT it is hard to put up. Once it is up it’s awesome. It won’t budge. But the metal piece is difficult to pull up once it is in place. However, I would buy it again because it’s solid once it’s put up.

pretty good quality for price

i enjoy that i can adjust this fence to whatever width i need, as it really helps to not have to worry about the size.

Fits good.

Works ok, but bought the walk through also, so have the brown one for outside & the walk through is nice for the bedroom door in stead of having to climb over. ( it's for a puppy.

Perfect!

Our ferret is now at his peak and our old, shorter barrier did not work anymore. This is great but had to ferret proof it and the box it came in was the perfect solution!

Simple and easy to use

The only complaint is the pressure latch to lock it is very tight and hard to unlock with one hand.

Very sturdy but latch is tricky

This thing is a lot sturdier than it feels and looks when you first take it out of the box. It wasn't too hard to install but it did need two people. One person to hold in place and the other to position it on the wall. We got this because our Chihuahua is a little a hole who likes to sneak out in the middle of the night while we are sleeping and pee in the house instead of telling us he needs to go out. So this traps him in the back of the house with us. We don't kennel him at night because he sometimes has to be kenneled during the day and he sleeps with us. This was our solution of keeping him confined to a small area but he can still go in and out of the back bedrooms. I had to take off a star because the latch is really hard to use. We just leave it unhooked and it still works.

Does the job

So if you’re anything like me you waited to buy this when it went on sale, which means it was all of $30 which is cheap for a baby gate. That being said, obviously you can’t expect the same quality/sturdiness that you would get out of a wood/steel gate for $80+ but for the great low price this does the job fine for me. It’s easy to use and the grey wood color matches my grey wood floors perfectly. We have our cat food/water in the bathroom so we need for the bathroom door to stay open so the cats have access to it. The gate works for keeping baby out of the bathroom and is still low enough for the cats to jump over when they need to get to their food and low enough for the adults to step over to use the washroom so we don’t have to take it down every time. For the price I would definitely recommend.

Quality varies from one gate to another

I have mixed feelings about this product. I purchased two gates, one of which I completely broke my third time using it (the lever handle part just snapped like a popsicle stick). The second one we’ve been using for a few months and it’s held up great. I feel like the quality varies from one gate to another. I do love the rustic grey look to it, it’s not offensive to look at everyday.

Aesthetically Pleasing but Poor Material

I purchased this product as it is aesthetically pleasing, compared to the plastic gates. After a few times using it, the middle latch snapped right in half. As it is wood, there's no way I could fix it myself. I thought I would get more use out of it, but the wood wasn't able to handle the pressure. Very dissapointed.

Not really safe

We bought this to prevent our dog from going up the stairs. So for us it served its function, but I do find this very flimsy. It doesn’t fit very well with our stairs. It is cheap in feeling but for the price I paid I shouldn’t be to surprised. I would not recommend if you are trying to use it child security purposes, easily could topple it over. The look was nice, I can give it that much.

works perfectly

Took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to operate this product but once I did, it works as advertised and I like the colour and material. No worries of anything coming off this product or of the kids climbing over.
