Hit and Miss
Okay, let me start with this: I do love these shoes. HOWEVER, their sizing sucks. My feet are a normal US size 6. They didn’t have them in my size, so I thought I could live with the 6.5 and have them a little big. A lot of the reviews said they were nice and roomy with nice toe boxes and fit well – but mine did not. I got them and yes, I could squish my feet in, but after walking around the house for maybe fifteen minutes, I knew they had to go back. They were far too tight in the toe area, they rubbed so much I was pretty sure they’d leave blisters. I sent them back in exchange for a 7.5 Wide, the closest up size that was available, and THOSE fit like a 6 should have! Though, they are a tiny bit big, not so bad that they’re uncomfortable at all, it just means I get to wear them year-round with my thick socks in winter since there will be enough room in them, ha. I have extremely bad plantar fasciitis and have been looking for shoes I could wear pain-free. No such thing happened until these, I’ve been wearing them pretty much non-stop since I got them. However, I DID have to put in the cheap arch supports from walmart, as these do NOT have arch supports in them. That along with their unique, super soft insoles, really helped my feet from being in unbearable pain by the end of the day. So, it comes down to this: Be weary of size. My mother’s fit her perfectly on the first try, while mine did not. These type seem to run small. Be ready to return or exchange them, just in case. Also, they may require inserts like arch supports if you have problem feet like I do. They work wonderfully with the shoes, however. I would recommend these! Just be a tad bit cautious.

I just might be through with Softwalk, once and for all.
Comfortable fit on this style. Pillowy soft insoles like I'm walking on sponges. I bought the Adora style last time and they were tight enough to need a shoe horn to get them on. Now for this style, what I was hoping for was the durability that I used to get in years past. I started buying this style, the Jupiter, in the 1990s. One pair would last a year of almost daily wear. When I bought two pairs and switched off, they lasted two years. But the last three pairs I've purchased are just not as durable as before. And if anything, I've gotten easier on my shoes as the years go by. The last three times I've purchased Softwalk (twice Adora slip-ons, and the most recent, the Jupiter Mary Jane) the first thing that happens is that the toe scuffs easily, to the point that it is damaging. Not merely a mark that I could cover with polish. The leather is soft and gouges/punctures easily. The toes feel hard to the touch as if they are durable, but you would not believe how easily they become damaged. I'm going after something different next time.

World Traveling on a Cloud
I bought these for a trip to Ireland last October as my "nice" shoes. While I brought alone hiking shoes for several planned hikes we went on, I ended up accidentally wearing these on a 5 KM hike up a muddy, heather covered mountain to see an ancient tomb (lesson learned: never believe an Irish sign that says "Gentle 1 KM hike"). I thought for sure I would either slip down the mountain or completely ruin these shoes. While they were covered in mud (which was thoroughly embarrassing when we checked into our neat-as-a-pin B&B), they held up like a champ. We averaged about 5-6 miles per day for two weeks on our trip and I wore these shoes every other day. They held up fantastically! You name it, we walked on it: sheep fields covered in mud and poop, uneven cobblestone streets, cement and asphalt, slippery basalt rocks, damp and uneven castle stairs. They now serve in my work shoe rotation and other than needing a little polish, they're still holding up great! These were a bit small when I first bought them. However, I borrowed an old fashioned shoe stretcher from my dad and was able to stretch them out enough to fit properly.

not well made
These shoes are comfortable, and the narrow width fits well on my foot. However, they're covered with a thin layer of leather that doesn't just scuff easily. It tears off. Not worth the money.

Very comfortable, but runs small
The insoles are incredibly comfortable. Imagine walking on eggshell mattress toppers. The problem with this shoe for me was that it ran small so my big toes were bumping right up against the front of the shoe even without socks or hose. I normally wear a size 6 in Stuart Weitzman and a 6.5 in Aquatalia, AGL, and Vince Camuto. I bought these in a 6.5. Since I got it at an extremely great price, I ended up giving it to my 11-year-old daughter who loves them too. They appear to be well-made, but we have not put them to the test yet. One other complaint I had was that for me, the shoe hit the bottom of my ankle bone, so I would've had to add a little heel lift or wear socks with them. This does not happen for my daughter, so it's certainly not a universal problem. The rubber soles were quiet and grippy without being stiff and uncomfortable. Both my daughter and I feel as if we're getting foot massages when walking in these shoes. I may go ahead and buy a size up for myself too (just wish they were on super sale like the 6.5 ones were).

amazingly comfortable shoes
These shoes fit problem feet AMAZINGLY WELL and feel like heaven being worn. They're FANTASTIC if you need to do your own orthotic adjustments inside the shoe (prescription, over-the-counter or homemade orthotics). They also enable orthotic shoemakers to work their magic, if you need professional orthotic adjustments made to the soles of your shoes (I supinate SO badly & my shoemaker adds lateral wedges to the outer edges of both shoes in order to tip my feet back into a more normal stance). However, they're not ATTRACTIVE, fashionable shoes, as you can see from the photo -- that's why I took off one star. However, if you have HORRIBLE problem feet like mine, this is a pair of shoes you'll want to have on hand for your worst foot-pain days. In my case, a shoe like this can make the difference between YES being able to walk around a little bit on a bad-pain day or NO, gotta spend the whole day sitting in a chair or wheelchair. If you have horrible problem feet, I STRONGLY recommend this shoe.

Fit very well & Leather is beautiful quality!
I bought these for a relative and I was worried the wouldn’t feel comfortable on her foot but she loves them. I measured her actual foot and compared it to the size chart (from the manufacturer) and these were spot on length wise. As for width, they definitely are a wide (she got a 9.5W) she wears a 9.5W in Skechers, for reference. They have a very “tall” toe box giving the toes tons of wiggle room, which she really needs. The buckles are easy to fasten and the sole is sturdy but light. Do not rub the back of her heel. Others have complained about the leather scuffing easily: these are a calfskin kid leather (delicate), suitable for dress wear, office environments, church, city sidewalks etc. NOT hiking, dog walking, rocky beaches etc, a point to consider. Beautiful shoe, somehow not frumpy either ????

Really cute and comfortable, great in wide sizes!
I have several pairs of these, love them! Soft and cushy, cute and comfortable. I have a very wide foot, and this double wide works for me (able to wear a half size smaller because of this.) I take out the insole and use my orthodic (wish they would make this easier) and the box is high so my hammer toes are accomodated. So pleased to wear something that doesn't look like old grandma shoes. Hope they are available for a long time to come.

Comfy
My feet are to wide for them, but not too small to send them back
