After 5+ years, I am buying again
I bought this in 2017 and I have worn it at home on a regular basis. Wear and tear has finally caught up with it and I am ordering another one now. No regrets or complaints whatsoever.

Not quality I expected from Southpole.
After three wearings and washings (cold water), the two back pocket buttons came off and numerous loose strings started unraveling. Size a little on the smaller size, too.

Very comfortable; yes, they are long shorts
I've had these for about two months after ordering a different color of this style last year. While they are not quite the same color as pictured (a bit darker), I like the shorts I received. (For those who have never purchased these style of shorts [regardless of color]. they all go past your knees). This is a fairly light fabric, so these shorts are best for casual use (on my first pair, the waistband button came off, but it was also a pair I wore for work and everywhere else, so not the best example...) My current pair seems to be holding up fairly well, however. If you like your shorts past the knee (though they don't go ALL the way down), these are worth considering.

Perfect for summer
I've read a lot of reviews on this item and wasn't sure. A lot of people confuse their opinions as facts. So I decided to try them out. I'm 5' 6" tall and weigh 165 lbs. The item I ordered has a 34" waist. They look fresh and feel comfortable. They are on the loose side, but I like baggy shorts. They allow plenty of air circulation to keep you cool. The material feels lightweight but durable. The overall style is pleasing to the eye. If you're of short stature, don't worry they fit and look fine. The colors are vibrant without being overwhelming. Cotton shrinks about 1 to2 percent. These will still fit after washing so you'll have these for a long time.

No Room
Contrary to the pic and unlike Southpole jean shorts, these have absolutely no room in the seat or groin areas once pulled up to the waist. Anything worn underneath gets scrunched. Very disappointing, and the tassels at the sides are annoying and serve no purpose, so I cut mine off.

Not Bad
The size was as expected order for a 34 waist and had extra room prior to washing. Seams appear well made. The things that were off was the buttons alignment are not centered on all pockets. They button just not exactly centered. One immediate question of quality was the fly button coming off when I tried them on so had to have it resewed. Otherwise, OK for the money.

Quality shorts
They fit perfectly. They are good length. They fit right in the middle of my knee caps. Good quality and comes with a matching belt. Baggy but not too baggy. If your looking for a non shorty shirt then this one is a great pick up.
