Specific for water polo...
So, the go-to brand of water polo suit is Turbo. But, in America, it's really hard to find Turbo briefs in anything smaller than a 28. If you have a kid/young adult who wears a 24 or 26, Turbo suits have to be special ordered from the Kap7 distributor. That's where this particular Speedo comes into play. Water polo suits have to be tight and also tend to be extra thick for purposes of staying on amidst the grappling, while keeping the boy/man's junk covered. Plus practice suits get beat up so you want 100% polyester and toughness. This Speedo is those things. It's NOT a regular swim brief. (It's got an interesting shine to the fabric but that's okay.) My 12 year old wasn't bothered by it.

Great swimwear
The only reason I can review this product is I got them directly from Speedo. I had to cancel this order as Speedo never supplied Swim 2000 with the suit. The material is great and should last for several years. They seem well made. I also was able to finally get my size, 36 from Swim 2000 in July of this year and the 36 I bought fits great. I am still waiting on the blue suit in size 36 that Speedo seems to have issues getting in stock. I want to make it clear, the fit as expected for the 38 is ok, but a slight bigger. The size 36 that I got in black fit great. I only purchased the size 38 because of some of the reivews I read and I will be able to wear the 38, but won't purchse any more in that size. I think they fit true to your size.

Great suit, super durable, very snug fit.
My favorite suit. It does not wear out. I don’t play waterpolo but love this for swimming. It has nice thick sides, which is hard to find. Very comfortable but you might want to order up one size! I wear 32. I’m normally 30 in swim suits or 31/32 in pants.

If playing water polo, you won't find any better suit than this. Fits very well on my regular size which is 32, but the fitting is tight, as expected for playing water polo. The material is tough and unstretchable as desired

Nearly Indestructible Swimsuit
Swimsuits containing Lycra are elastic and fit well to the body, but quickly disintegrate in the chlorine, algaecides, clarifiers and whatever other chemicals in the swimming pool I use. Even nylon swimsuits don't last too long. This type of polyester swimsuit may last several years and still be O.K., except for some slight discoloration and loss of surface shine. The material is relatively thick and less elastic, so that selecting the proper size is important. The waterpolo model has a higher waistline. Recommended for heavy use in swimming pools. I don't play waterpolo, but swim a lot. Not being that young, the model seems more appropriate than one with a lower waistline.

Racing suit alternative
Feels good while swimming, low resistance. A bit larger and heavier lining than racing suit adds a touch of modesty!

Smaller than expected and color/sheen/texture doesn't match photo.
I ordered a size larger than I would normally, but they were still too small. Also the picture is not accurate to the texture and sheen of this swiming suit. Looking more closely at the picture, it appears to be a photoshoped picture to approximate the color/look of the suit rather than an actual photo of the exact product. Hopefully they will stretch out with usage.

Miserably tight around the legs. Love the material. Can't wear.
Speedo is on a roll for making suits with the legs not flexible enough for those of us who do more than swim. I'm 6'1 205 Triathlete. My legs are muscular. These just make me feel like I need to cut the leg area and put a V notch in them. The material is see through if you hold it up, but NOT when it is on. It's a very cool material.
