My 5 year old loves this!

The media could not be loaded. So my son loves this thing. He loves making the designs and spinning the top piece. I love that it has storage at the bottom that holds everything. You may have to adjust some of the items a bit but it can fit. It’s easy to put away. I thought you could press one of the buttons and it would turn on its own but that’s not the case. The power button is for the lights and you have to manually spin. Luckily he enjoys that part. Im not entirely sure what the second button does. He said it’s his favorite Christmas gift and Osmo (pizza co., coding and detective game) comes in second. I’m so proud that our son prefers this over tech stuff that was a nice surprise. I just knew the tech stuff would win overall. Ironically I wasn’t going to get this because I figured he may not be interested and debated for weeks but glad I did. It was something I saw last minute and thought getting it would be doing to much. It’s literally his favorite. I definitely recommend.

Grandson loves it!

Spirograph is such a fun toy from my childhood. So I bought this for my grandson who loves to do drawing and painting. And he loves it!

Astonishingly fun and high quality

So, purchased this kind of by accident. I wanted a “smart creative toy” and intended to buy Spirograph for grandchildren ages 6 & 9 because remembered from my childhood memory. By mistake I ordered Spirograph Animator (just thought that was what it was called). Well, this toy has ALL the great elements I remembered but the added animation element multiplied that fun exponentially! It was simple to set up, highest quality, and the voodoo magic that the lights and spinning created are mesmerizing. Honestly, the adults were as captivated as the grandkids. Phenomenal gift and keeps kids off their screen! UPDATE: it’s become our ‘go to’ gift. Purchased 4 more as it’s been a sure thing. It’s smart, fun and nourishes creativity.

Small and low quality feeling

When we took that out of the box it was much smaller than anticipated. Also, I thought that it spins while you draw on it, but that’s not the case. You take a stickey post (it) note paper (which is the traditional 3x3” size aprox) and place it on the bottom piece, then you place the top ring over it. Then you have to hold it in place and draw with the circles and shapes within that small ring. Some of the shapes are hard to use due to the small size of the design area. Once your picture is done, then you place it on the spinner and turn it on with the lights to see the effects. Overall, I wouldn’t buy it again. I’d rather pay more for a larger set up that feels more sturdy and has stencils that smoothly glide through the gear teeth.
